Y’all, let’s talk about this week. It was filled with so many highs and (maybe a few) lows. Highs: we celebrated two years of marriage. Did you know the gift is cotton for your second year? The hubs surprised me with new sheets from Boll and Branch. He is so darn cute!
I am still coming off a major high from the weekend and may have woke up this morning with a little cold. The last month has been filled with so many amazing experiences. From Hawaii (a fun recap coming really soon) to Charleston for Mackenzie’s bachelorette to this past weekend here in Dallas for the RewardStyle Conference, my life has been on overdrive and I think I need to curl up in my bed and sleep for 24 hours to get caught up. Not sure if that will actually happen anytime soon, but my goal this week will be to take care of myself both physically and mentally. I am no expert when it comes to wellness, but I have recently been making small changes in effort to live a healthier lifestyle.
I have been on the hunt for the perfect LBD. I mean, think about how often you need to find yourself needing a black dress. Whether it be an event for fun or work, a LBD is necessary. This one from L.K. Bennett has become my new favorite because I can wear it year round.
I am currently recovering from our weekend in Charleston celebrating the bachelorette, Mackenzie. We had the best time and I swear you can see my abs just from all the laughing we did this past weekend. Life can be funny in so many ways.
This month Patrick (my hubs) and I celebrated nine years together. It still feels like yesterday when he tapped me on the shoulder in Math 201 for my homework answers ;) So romantic right?!
All jokes aside, to celebrate we decided to bring our date night outdoors. The weather in Dallas has been exceptionally nice, so naturally we popped open a bottle of rosé and enjoyed some light snacks before heading out to a casual dinner. Both of our schedules have been exceptionally busy the last few months, so it was nice to catch up (sans phones), relax and enjoy the beautiful weather during the middle of the week.

One of my favorite things about living in Dallas is the seasons, especially Spring. From the beautiful blooming trees, to the “almost” perfect weather and longer days full of sunshine, Dallas really knows how to show off. That is, until the temps heat up, but that’s what the pool is for! For me, a dose of Vitamin D is an instant pick-me-up.
Sometimes you find a brand that just “gets you” and you shout it from the rooftops. When I was introduced to Everlane a few years ago, I told everyone that would listen about the brand. From their mission of radical transparency to their killer style and branding, this brand just “gets me.”
Fresh flowers blooming, the perfect temperature to spend all day outdoors (well, if you live in Dallas), and lighter layers and flowy dresses. For these simple reasons, Spring has always been the season I feel refreshed and recharged.
ICYMI, I was on #springbreak last week in Maui– I will be recapping our incredible trip soon, but it honestly was the perfect way to reset the year and come back home feeling inspired and ready to take on the world.

I didn’t own a real bra until a few weeks ago. I know what you all are thinking, but I have always had the worst luck when it comes to bras. I remember those days I would cry to my mom in the dressing room because I couldn’t wear that push up bra all my girlfriends wore in high school. I was blessed with a flat chest (thanks, mom!) and for the most part I am completely okay with it. But since I am almost 30 years old, I decided it was finally time to ditch my bralettes and swap them out for something with a little more support and coverage. When ThirdLove reached out to see if I wanted to test out their Fit Finder, I knew it was going to be a game changer.

I don’t know if it is just Dallas, but the weather has been bipolar this week. One day is 75 and sunny and the next 40 and overcast. It has been causing my mood to be all over the place. I am the type of person who’s mood is completely affected by the weather outside. Maybe it is because I grew up in a place where it was sunny about 300 days out of the year. I find myself waking up in a better mood when the sun is shining through my window.
