72 HOURS IN PLAYA
This past weekend I made my way down to Playa Del Carmen for one of my high school besties Bachelorette parties. If you were following along on Stories, you may have already seen a glimpse into all the fun we had. I left with a glowing tan and abs from laughing so hard. Girls trips are really good for the soul. ;)
This was my first visit to Play Del Carmen and the charming little Mexican town is one not to be missed. We didn’t have time to make it to Tulum, but that is next on my Mexico bucket list. I received a few questions about where we stayed and some of the activities we did on our trip, so keep scrolling for all the details.
WHERE WE STAYED
The Thompson Hotel: The hotel was fabulous! The rooftop pool, restaurants and location were top notch. I have to note, that while it was the perfect location for a bachelorette party, I would not suggest this location for a romantic giveaway. Due to its location in the center of town, the hotel is loud.

WHERE TO EAT
CATCH– located inside the Thompson Hotel (where we stayed) and the famous New York and Los Angeles fresh seafood restaurant. I had the Crispy Tuna and the Chicken Lettuce Wraps. It was delish!
Indigo Beach Club: We had brunch on Sunday on the beach and the service was wonderful.
CINCO- another hotel restaurant. It was very convenient, but the breakfast was equally as delicious as dinner!
We also popped into a Mexican restaurant on 10th Avenue, but I can’t remember the name! There are so many fun spots on this street!
WHAT TO DO
While I didn’t plan one of iota of the trip, my best friend did not miss a detail. She scheduled a catamaran for Saturday and we had so much fun on the boat. It was a four hour ride, and the perfect amount of time to snorkel, stand up paddle board, eat and drink! I definitely recommend this activity when visiting Playa. On Sunday we went down the the beach club after breakfast and enjoyed a full day at the beach.
Until our next trip, Adios!
