A GIRL AND HER BOOTS

Ali Schilling in Justin Boots

My uncle always told me that until you have your first pair of cowboy boots, you are not officially a Texan.  He was born and raised in Austin, Texas and I have always adored his southern accent.  Every year since I was a little girl we would visit Austin in the summer for two weeks.  This is where my love for Texas (and fashion) started.

We would spend one week in town and then head to my families ranch. Before we left, I would always sneak into my aunt’s closet and try on ALL of her cowboy boots.  She had every style I could ever imagine, from classic to embellished to colorful, she had them all.  I always borrowed a pair of her boots for the ranch (I’m so lucky we wear the same size). Now that we are so close, we have been taking more trips down to the ranch and I finally decided it was time to take my uncle’s advice and officially become a Texan. My aunt suggested looking at  Justin Boots. They have such a great selection of traditional and trendy styles.  I decided to go with a classic style for my first pair, but I have my eye on this pair of black ones for next year.

We are headed out to the ranch early next year and I am so excited to rock my first pair of boots.
