Party Arty State of Mind

I am definitely in a Party Arty State of Mind.  The Nelson-Atkins Museum, Young Friends of Art is hosting the 3rd annual Party Arty.  This is my first year as an ambassador and I am just so ecstatic! It is going to be the event of the year with live music, catering from Kansas City area restaurants and dancing all night!

Geek Chic

Oh, how I love Madewell.  Their 2011 Spring Lookbook is fabulous.  I love the “Geek Chic” look especially mixed with the nautical stripes.  That horizontal striped tank and that chambray shirt… yes please!

A Dining Room to Die For

I cannot wait for my High and Dry Home Goods custom table to be delivered this weekend! Jamie, the owner, took an old vintage front door and turned it into a beautiful dining table. (she is amazing!) Pictures to come…

A Cup of Jo

The Roasterie is a local Kansas City cafe in Brookside with specialty flavors to fill the needs of any coffee lover.  They are passionate about giving back to the community and delivering the best coffee to its customers.  My favorite is the Air-Roasted Kansas City blend. Try it sometime!

Soup That Will Warm Your Heart

Since it is snowing outside, soup is the perfect comfort food to warm you from the inside out.  Martha Stewart has a whole list of winter soup recipies that are to die for.  Possibly tomato soup and grilled cheese for dinner?

Snow Day

After trying to clear the snow off of my car in about 3 inches, I decided it is time to invest in some rain boots.  These Hunter Wellies are as chic as they come and with all of the color choices it is hard to go wrong!

Feeling Dizzy

I love this chevron pattern and especially Rubie Green.  Her fabrics are so dainty yet sophisticated. The chevron pattern gives such a modern touch to my traditional style. A possible option for accent pillows on our new white couch or maybe an upholstered bench in the entry way.

A Pop of Color

So, since the holidays are over I am in need of a change from my festive Essie Lollipop nailpolish. I must have been dreaming of summer when looking at these colors. But at least they would brighten up my day, right?

Closet Envy

I have been having issues trying to figure out how to organize all of my clothes, shoes and accessories in my new closet. I was soo spoiled in my last place with a walk- in. I am so envious of these beautiful closets, oh how I love organization…
