I am about 2 and a half months post my Whole 30 challenge and my life in the kitchen looks very different. I have now been dairy and gluten free, minus a few slip ups, since before the challenge. For me, it was a complete lifestyle change I needed to make. I was diagnosed with a dairy allergy almost 10 years ago and just tried to ignore it until now. I would order burrata salads every time I saw it on a menu or grab a cheese plate with girlfriends. I thought cutting all dairy out of my life was going to be the hardest thing I have ever done (dramatic much?). Honestly, it was easy because I immediately felt better. When I tell people their immediate response is, “What about pizza? I could never live without cheese.”

I laugh a little because the taste is starting to seem like a distant memory. That being said, I am not going to lie, I still miss bread everyday. I miss eating sandwiches, pasta, and the thing I miss most- having a cold beer by the pool (hehe). Mackenzie and I ended up at Trinity Groves a few weeks ago and a piece of red velvet cake was calling my name. It took all my will power to just say, no. It seems so funny now, but it was a win in my book.
This off-the-shoulder top is one of my new favorites. I mean, you can never have too many stripe tops and I just love the little ties on the side. I wore it with jeans out to lunch the other day, but now that the temps are in the 100s, I will be wearing this top with these white shorts.
