Almost everything in life is just a little better when broken-in.

This past weekend marked one year of living in Dallas and it’s starting to finally feel like home.  I have my go-to places, my friends and now a workout routine that I am trying to stick with.  With life being a little hectic lately, it is nice to feel a little “broken-in”.

I was thinking back to where I was a year ago today and thinking about how much has changed and yet, how much has stayed the same.  I had just started my new job, moved into our house , and did not know very many people. Today I am still with the same job, live in the same house but now I have friends that I can count on for just about anything. For me, friends are what make everything feel a little bit more broken-in.

Love this effortless look for spring :)

I just discovered your blog and I love it. My fiance and I actually had a chance to move to Dallas but ended up moving to Chicago instead to be closer to his family. I’d love to visit Dallas someday to see where we potentially could have lived.

    xo, Jen
