A TASTE OF KANSAS CITY

I always seem struggle on what to get my Dad for Christmas… well, until this year.  I found this awesome set of Barbecue sauce and seasoning from all of the best barbecue restaurants in Kansas City.  Rally House on the Plaza has the perfect Kansas City gifts and this Deluxe Gift Box was just under $35.  While my family was visiting this summer, my Dad tried the “Famous Four” around town. His favorite was Jack Stack, so when I saw this Bbq Set I knew it was the perfect gift.

GIFT TAGS

In the spirit of the holidays, I decided to get a little crafty this year and create some custom gift tags.  As I was shopping on the Plaza last week, I decided to pop into Paper Source, which is one of my guilty pleasures that is on the Country Club Plaza.  If you have never been in before, they not only have the most beautiful paper and stationary you have ever seen, but they have these cute “kitschy” gifts for all occasions. These little note pads from Rifel Paper or this funny coal chewing gum would make the perfect stocking stuffers.

Paper source has the cutest Holiday wrapping paper like this one, but I decided to go with a simple design this year and use this.  It was only $5 dollars a roll, and I bought this red and white baker’s twine that was under $10.  I have yet to finish wrapping all of my gifts, but I found a little greenery from my backyard and tied it up with the gift tags I made. You can download the PDF above and print them for free.

THE PERFECT LAST MINUTE GIFTS

Still looking for the perfect last minute gifts? Last week, I went shopping at the Country Club Plaza in search for the perfect last minute gifts. The Plaza has just about every store you need to find the perfect gift for Christmas.  This week I will be posting a gift each day that I found on my shopping trip thanks to the gals from the Plaza.

The gift I found from today was from Halls, a local unique store and the best store to find the perfect “splurge” worthy gift.  This would be great gift for your mom, best girlfriend, or even for yourself.  Since I am a girl on a budget, this Bond No.9 Mini Bon Bon Box for $140 was a great gift that I could split up and give to a couple of my favorite girls in my life.  Since the small bottle of the scent typically costs $190, this was a steal for 9 different scents! You might want to hurry on this gift set, not only because was a great deal but they only had about 10 left at Halls!
