TRAVEL DETAILS

Finally after weeks of traveling, we will be staying in this weekend.  It is really crazy to think we have been gone almost every weekend this entire summer. And I am in need of a little “me” time. With the holidays approaching quickly (yes, Thanksgiving and Black Friday are only three weeks away!) I want to spend as much time relaxing, eating healthy, and playing with the pups as possible.

This weekend, my plan is to start my new book, take a bubble bath, and make some yummy recipes from my new Lemonade LA Cookbook. Not to mention loads and loads of laundry, but really who wants to talk about laundry (: So instead, I will spare you the dirty details- yes, pun intended.

Soft Joie Pants / Soft Joie Sweatshirt / Fresh Facemask / Kai Oil Perfume / Warby Parker Glasses / Mary Green Eye Mask / Essie Penny Talk / Essie Good to Go Top Coat / Alexa Chung It Book / Nike Free Run / Club Monaco Cashmere Scarf / Shopbop Basic Texting Gloves

Day 20: A Dash of Fun Fonts

Today I have been working on some crafty additions for my Christmas presents (those will have to be kept secret) and I decided I needed some new fonts. Here are a few I downloaded from here.  The best part was that they were all free! Only 6 more days until the big day or as Patrick would like to say only 2 more days until the big day (his birthday!)

Day 4: Cozy Blankets

For Day 4 of 25 Days of Details – everyone needs a cozy blanket to snuggle with a cold December Sunday afternoon with a warm cup of coffee, and a cheesy Hallmark Christmas movie. West Elm has lots of throws that would make great gifts for friends.

December Cheer

Happy December 1st! I think the month of December is my favorite time of the year because I get to enjoy the company of great people and family, wear cosy sweaters and boots, drink hot chocolate, and this year- decorate our own Christmas Tree! Hope everyone enjoys this month as much as I do.

Cheers!

Little Urchins

I came across these cute little brass urchin accents on Furbish Studio, an online site with a collection of accesories, furniture, and lots of great finds.  I am very picky on accessories and this is a must have for our bookshelf.  It is sleek, yet when paired with traditional accents it is just perfect! You can find these brass urchins in three different sizes, here.

Wall of Art

This weekend we just found out we are able to stay in our place for another year..Great News. A couple months ago I stop buying stuff for the place because I was not sure how long we were going to be able to stay.  Well… we have a big blank wall on the dining room that needs some love.  I am thinking about making an art collage wall.  I can’t wait to fill the blank “canvas”.

A Little Painting

So this past weekend I decided to take up a new hobby, painting.  I have always loved drawing and photography but I have never been the greatest painter.  I got the idea for the painting a while back..do you remember this post about Coco & Hearts artist’s home, Jen.  Well my inspiration came from her Lipstick Dot paintings. The best part of the project is that it only cost a total of $25 dollars! I may not be a professional but I think it turned out pretty well (sorry for the bad quality photos, they came from my iphone.)

Indoor Garden

Since I do not have a balcony I have been trying to find new ways to bring the outdoors inside our cozy apartment.  I have always wanted a herb garden and I think I may have found some great options.  I do have a sunroom with lots of natural light during the day. I especially love the chalkboard name stakes in the last picture.

Does anyone with a green thumb have any advice to keep these delicious herbs alive?

Antrhopologie Styles

Are you ready for a summer fiesta? I am in love with Anthropologie‘s styling for this summer.  But what really caught my eye were these bad boys here.  I love fun glasses and these ‘Celebrate the Day’ tumblers are just what I need to brighten up the party.  Add a little Sangria and we are all set to have a summer fiesta.

Mirror Mirror On the Wall

I have been debating what to do on the large wall in the dining room for some time now and I think I just found my inspiration from picture number 3.  I am in love! The room is slightly narrow and I couldnt decide if I wanted to add a small table.  I think the mirrors will add dimension and light to the room. You may possibly be seeing a DIY coming your way soon…
