Late Night Wedding FavorI cannot believe it have been 1.5 years since our wedding day. It really still feels like yesterday I was walking down the aisle in a white dress and eating these french fries in bed after the best night of my life.

Avocado Toast

Love you, Saturday. Boy am I glad it’s the weekend.  I am officially a week into my new job and with that comes a new routine. I am still getting used to waking up before the sun comes up (I needed 2 cups of coffee this week…oops!) and fitting in all the things on my to-do list. Someone once told me, with change comes growth.  I am really looking forward to these new changes.

I am feeling like I need one more day of our weekend.  We had such a fun, relaxing weekend in Dallas.  Our weekend kicked off with the pop of a champagne bottle to celebrate our new jobs this weekend.

Oh Friday, I love you.

After what have been a few crazy weeks around here, I am excited to have a relaxing weekend to recharge and reset. Somehow we are halfway through October (how did this happen) and the holidays are right around the corner.  This week I sat down to brainstorm some new content for A Dash of Details and we have some really exciting things in the works.  Quick question for all of you: Is there anything specific you would like to see on the site? What kind of content is your favorite? I would love to hear from you!

“And all at once Summer collapsed into Fall.”- Oscar Wilde

Does anyone else feel like they blinked and all of a sudden we are into the last part of the year? The weather in Dallas was just about perfect this weekend and actually made me start looking at my Fall to-do list.  I haven’t fully checked anything off my list just yet, but I did make my first batch of crock pot turkey chili (yumm), enjoyed a candlelight yoga class and I started brainstorming ideas for our first annual pumpkin carving party. I swear before we know it, the holidays are going to be here. I am not sure about you, but I am not quite ready to let this year come to an end.

18th and Vine Barbeque

After living in Dallas for the last two and a half years, I decided it was time to start sharing a few of my favorite places in the city I call home.  So, when Draper James asked me to explore my city to create their Dallas City Guide, I could not have been more excited.  First up on their list was the top barbecue spots in town.  Although I am still partial to Kansas City BBQ (oops, don’t tell!), Dallas has been whipping up some of the best barbecue in Texas.  So, after trying endless restaurants on our ever-growing list, I narrowed it down to my top 3.

NYFW Street Style

Do you ever feel like sometimes short weeks seem to feel longer than the rest? While I needed a few extra cups of coffee and some major sweat sessions at hot yoga this week, I ended the week feeling very accomplished.  I have some really exciting projects coming up and I cannot wait to share! In other news, this weekend is extra special because my momma decided to make a surprise visit to Dallas.  We had not seen each other all summer and I was in desperate need of some momma/daughter time.

Draper James Tailgate Sweater

The crisp Fall air, roaring crowds and great food.

There is nothing I love more than the beginning of Fall and start of football season.  I like to think I have become somewhat of a pro when it comes to hosting a tailgate since my husband played for the Jayhawks back in the day. After spending five seasons cheering on KU, I have perfected my tailgate food, fun and fashion.  Read more for my best tips for hosting a tailgate with Draper James.
