The days are flying by and I am still having a hard time believing that we have been living in Nantucket for two weeks already. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous here–compared to the 103º, I have been seeing on my weather app for Dallas.
I am honestly considering never leaving until after Mackenzie’s wedding in September. We tried to take it easy this weekend after a wild Fourth of July. On Friday, we went to dinner with Jenn and her husband at the cutest spot called Club Car. The restaurant had recently been renovated with the most darling light and bright decor. Be sure to order the broccolini as a starter, I promise you will not be disappointed!
The boys woke up early on Saturday to play a little golf. Since I am an early bird, I decided to grab my camera and walk around the neighborhood while the rest of the house was still sleeping. Being able to practice using my camera has been one of my favorite parts about being on Nantucket. Honestly, my computer is filled with endless pictures of hydrangeas and climbing roses.
We decided to head into town once the boys got back for a quick bite to eat at Met on Main. This may be one of my favorite brunch spots on the island. Mackenzie, Will, Patrick and I decided to stay downtown do a little house hunting–in my dreams. The streets are so charming and there is so much history behind each of the houses. While on our little house tour, Mackenzie and I stopped every couple feet to snap more pictures of the beautiful façades. Let’s just say, the boys were definitely troopers on our little excursion. ;)
Since we drove from Dallas, I packed a few more items than I would in my trusty carry-on. Before our trip I picked up a few pieces from Everlane and I knew this shirtdress was going to be on heavy rotation. My obsession with all things linen this summer is never ending. I also bought this linen top to wear with white jeans, and this linen sleeveless sweater. If you are not familiar with Everlane, it is one of my favorite brands. Not only is the quality and style top notch, but the price of the items is extremely reasonable. Pretty much everything on the site is under $100, minus a few of their cashmere pieces. Needless to say, you will be seeing a lot more pieces from Everlane in my wardrobe because the obsession is real.
