MONDAY MANTRA
This is going to be a great week! Not only did I decide on Friday to wake up with a new outlook on the new year, but my momma is coming to town. Insert: excited cheers! We are super close and while I love living in Dallas, I miss living near my family. I actually haven’t lived in the same state as them since I was eighteen (when I moved away for college) but the older I get the more envious I become of my friends that have parents around the block or at least in driving distance. The idea of Sunday brunch, pop-ins, and spontaneous mani/pedi appointments sounds magical. While I can dream of all these lovely things, at this point, living close to my parents is out of the cards. For now, I will just enjoy our vacations and keep my fingers crossed for “one day”.

So this week, I am looking forward to some good quality momma time. We are actually headed to Austin for a baby shower and I am excited to explore the city. I swear every time I visit Austin there are so many new places, restaurants and shops to see! I am hoping to have brunch at Josephine House (I have heard amazing things!) on Sunday but if there are any new restaurants or shops we need to see, I would love to hear your recommendations!
Happy Monday, friends!

xox- a dash of details
Cafe No Se is a must in Austin! Emmer + Rye is also amazing, Hillside Farmacy, Elizabeth Street Cafe. Jo’s Coffee is also a old school staple, and then Hotel Saint Cecilia is so pretty to wander the grounds. Have fun with your Momma! That time together is the best.
Such a great list! Can’t wait to try a few :) I will report back with my favorites next week!
I feel you! I am soo close with my mama too and am actually moving back to my hometown next month and am on the edge of my seat!!
That is so exciting Emily! Good luck with your move :)
