First off, I wanted to say thank you for all the comments, DM’s, emails and texts I have received about my new job. I am so happy to report that I am loving it and really believe things really do happen for a reason.
This week was a complete and total blur…in the best way possible.
This week was all about slowing down. I came into the new year with great intentions, big goals and laser focus. This week I realized is that sometimes it is more important to slow down and let things work themselves out with time. For the last three weeks I have been going 100 miles a minute and this week (unintentionally) I decided to accept that not everything will happen all at once.
A fresh start, a clean slate, an empty dream board; call it what you want but this week is the beginning of a new 365 days to reach for the stars. Ready or not, it’s 2018 and the start of what is going to be a great year!
Happy December 1st! If you have been following along, you may already know we have been in Vail, Colorado this past week with our friends, Elyse and James. It was their first time to Vail and we had the best time showing them around our favorite little ski town. Minus the fact there is only one ski run open and hardly any snow, I just love this place. Plus, it’s hard to complain about cozy sweaters, sitting by the fire, and spending the week with your best friends!
“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.”-Oprah
I have so many things I have to be thankful for this year. First and foremost, for my family, my health, my puppy girls, and of course, and all of you!
Love you, Friday. This was one of those weeks where everything seemed to go my way. Nothing crazy happened, but I really love falling back into my routine at home. This past weekend, I decided it was time to get back on track with my health. In effort to make the slow transition, I started by adding in a few attainable goals; one of them being to start the morning with a run. I am proud to report that today is day five of my morning runs. I tried to talk myself out of it yesterday because my ankles were sore, but I pushed through and I am so happy I made it. Working at home has its perks, but more often than not, I find myself grabbing my coffee and sitting down at my computer in my PJs before the sun comes up. For me, starting the day in the fresh air, no distractions, and a good playlist set the tone for the rest of my day. Let’s home I can stick with this new schedule. Stay tuned…
