I don’t know if it is the fact that I am dressing for different weather than Dallas, but I have filling my cart with so many new arrivals and sale items this week.
The Nordstrom Anniversary sale starts this Thursday for cardholders and I already have a few items flagged as must-buys. I am going to be rounding up my favorite items from the sale Thursday morning, so stay tuned for a major list of my favorite products from the sale. I got a sneak peek of the sale this week and there are so many good pieces from Vince, Madewell, J.Crew and Frame.
Things I am loving this week:
Sleeveless Sweaters: With the idea of a new season quickly approaching, I have sweaters on my brain. Since the weather doesn’t drop below 90º in Dallas until October, sleeveless sweaters have been my new obsession. This one from Madewell is darling. I also love this one, this one, and this one.
Splurge-worthy slides: If there is one thing I wear everyday, it is sandals. I think growing up in Scottsdale where I wore open toe shoes all year round, I still can’t get out of the habit. If you are not wanting to spend your pennies, these are adorable!
Canvas Bags: When I was on the ferry on our way to Nantucket, the girl sitting next to be had the most drool-worthy canvas Birkin bag. While I won’t be spending that on a bag anytime soon, I have had my eye on a few canvas bags this summer. This Cuyana one is at home in Dallas waiting for my arrival. I am also obsessed with this darling one and this cutie!
Catchy Cashmere: There is a little chill in the air at night here in Nantucket and I love getting to throw on a sweater. These Lingua Franca sweaters are too cute. I think I need this navy one, right?
Highlighter: I am by no means a makeup expert, but recently I popped into Blue Mercury to pick up a few skincare products and they offered to do my makeup. I figured it was a Saturday afternoon and why not get a little glam before date night. Honestly, I normally hate the final outcome after getting my makeup done, but I was in LOVE. I told her I wanted that ‘dewy, glow’ look and the final product was exactly what I was looking for. I ended up walking out with the Hourglass concealer and highlighter. The highlighter was one product I didn’t even know existed and since then it has become my obsession. I am so intrigued by this NARS palette.
Personalized Wedding Gifts: With 7 friend weddings this year, I think I have become somewhat of an expert wedding gift giver. With wedding showers, bridal showers and the actual wedding gift, it can get a little boring just buying items off the registry. I have started adding a little something personal in addition to the registered items. These cute platters would be an adorable gift with a few hostess items that the couple may have registered for!
Navy or nothing: Mackenzie’s moto is slowly rubbing off on me! These heeled sandals are everything. Seriously I can’t stop buying navy pieces. I recently picked up this two piece set for Mackenzie’s wedding shower.
