PACKING LIST: BACHELORETTE WEEKEND

It is officially March and you know what that means?  Wedding season! And with wedding season comes bachelorette parties, wedding showers, couple showers and the big event.  This weekend I am heading to Newport Beach to celebrate my best friend’s bachelorette party.  We have lots of fun surprises up our sleeves (so I can’t spill all the beans), but my packing list is filled with little black dresses, light sweaters and a few fun Spring pieces (like this dress).

Since it’s Wednesday, and Amazon Prime is my best friend, I am picking up a few last minute things from Shopbop to bring with me on our trip.  Did you hear they are having up to 25% off the entire site.  We are taking some beach cruisers over to Balboa on Saturday and it is the perfect excuse to pick up a pair of these sneakers and this stripe top.

Are you ready to party?

A few weekends ago all of my best friends joined me in Southern California to celebrate, drink lots of wine, and laugh until we started crying. Needless to say, we had the best time ever and I have never been so grateful to have such incredible friends. I definitely felt the love all weekend, even if they made me wear a crown. :)

When we arrived at our amazing mansion (thanks to AirBnB) for the weekend, Nico and Lala surprised us with bags filled with all of the necessities to make the weekend a success, especially the ever so necessary Hangover Kits for the mornings.  If you have ever met me in person, you would know I am very picky when it comes to all things design.  I despise a pink and black color combo, glitter and all things you would typically find when planning a bachelorette party.  Thanks to my girlfriends that know that about me, they had Nico and Lala design the perfect branding for the weekend.  We popped mini bottles of champagne with darling custom labels and cute paper straws all weekend long.

If you haven’t heard of Nico and Lala, they are a Chicago based custom design and event branding company with an eye for all things fabulous.  They do all things from company branding and logos, wedding invitations to welcome bags and of course, bachelorette party gifts! Not only are they amazing to work with but they also can turn around an amazing product in a pinch! Let’s just say these girls get design, good fonts, and a quality product.

This weekend I am hopping on a plane to Scottsdale for another bachelorette party (and I am sure this one is going to go down in the history books).  I plan to spend most of the time laying by the pool with at least a “few”greyhounds (my drink of choice) in my hand.  But first up, our attempt at Camelback Mountain.  Wish us luck!

Happy Weekend Lovelies!

I really need a day between Sunday and Monday :)

Does anyone else feel that way when they travel? This weekend was jam-packed with events, lots of girl talk, cupcakes, and wine (you know all of the essentials for a girls weekend).  On Saturday, Patrick’s aunts hosted a shower for his sister (the bride to be) at a darling place in Kansas City, called Axois.  It was the perfect mix of preppy decor, bright spring flowers, and amazing french cuisine. After the shower, we walked around the Crestwood Shops and to my surprise stumbled upon the most well-curated store of which I had never been.  I think I have walked by a time or two but never stepped inside until this weekend.  To say completely fell in love with George was an understatement. Well selected coffee table books, to the Savon de Marseille soaps, to the amazing one-of-a-kind furniture, I wanted to take home everything.  As far as the rest of the weekend, it will be left to your imagination, as it was a bachelorette party, and you know what happens at the girls weekend, stays at the girls weekend :)

* I am over on the Tuckernuck blog talking Spring styles, I would love for your to check it out.
