With Summer in the rearview mirror, I have my eyes set on the new season. To me, Fall means cozy sweaters, nights by the fire and the perfect time to try those soup recipes I have had my eye on all Summer. J.McLaughlin let me sneak a peek their new Fall Collection a few weeks ago and it is so good. This bamboo clutch is definitely a favorite.
We are headed out to the ranch to celebrate the unofficial start to Fall and football season this Labor Day weekend. If I wasn’t planning on wearing my cutoffs and booties all weekend, I would be wearing one of these outfits.
I have had a hard time wrapping my head around the fact we only have one week left of August and two weeks until Labor Day. Since graduating college, I swear I blink and the months just fly by! With the new season approaching, I have been eyeing so many new arrivals and I can’t help but fill my cart full of Fall essentials. You know I am all about buying classic pieces (which will always be the way I shop), but this season is full of trends I can get behind. Ruffles, bomber jackets, mules and 90’s chokers have me heart eyes for Fall style.

I am packing my bags again for a quick “surprise” trip to San Francisco for my birthday! Patrick had the entire trip planned as a surprise, but decided to tell me because the weather is a little funky in Northern California. Living in Dallas, I was having a hard time even thinking about buying coats, sweaters and boots during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, but since I now have the perfect excuse, I have been filling my cart with some great deals! I showed you my early access picks last week and I am making sure to follow the same strategy.
It’s hard to think about Fall, sweaters and booties when it is 100 degrees outside, but it is totally worth it when your season staples are marked WAY down. The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is here and after spending some time browsing the site and filling my shopping cart full (so long paycheck), I have narrowed down my list to a few categories.
I start every morning with a song and a cup of coffee. Each song sets the tone for the day and that good feeling that today is going to be a great day.

I am not sure if you have noticed, but I feel like I am getting back into my groove after a crazy summer and beginning of fall. To be honest, I have been pretty sick for the majority of September and October. But no one really wants to read about the bad stuff, and honestly I never like to share. So, today I woke up for the first time feeling back to normal and healthy and I am back with my favorite post of the week, Love You, Friday. If you are not familiar, I have been writing these posts since the early days of this blog. It is a time for me to share the good, bad and great things that happened the prior week and upcoming weekend.
This week, the Royals won the World Series and the city of Kansas City all came together in such a special way. See all of the amazing pictures here. All of my old co-workers got to enjoy all of their hard work becoming a reality.
I am finally been able to get back into a good workout routine, thanks to StudioHop.
If you are in Dallas, there are lots of new store openings at Highland Park Village. The Alice and Olivia store is darling, Celiné (is going to be very dangerous) and a particular favorite, the Royal Blue Grocery.
I am finally getting on top of the holidays this year. I placed our order for Holiday cards last week from Shutterfly and absolutely love how they turned out! Now it’s onto the gifts….
Today we are headed to the ranch for some major R&R with family. I am sure I will be cozied up by the fire with a glass of red wine, new magazines and a soft blanket all weekend. Lazy fall weekends are my absolute favorite.
What do you have planned for this weekend?
