Hello, November. Really though this year has just flown by and I cannot believe it is already the Holidays. The next two months are my absolute favorite, of course minus the stress of traveling (more to come on this) and stuffing my face (good thing I just bought some lose fitting sweaters this weekend).  I am trying to stay on top of my shopping and packing lists this year to eliminate that unnecessary stress.

In the next couple weeks I will be sharing tips and tricks that make the Holiday’s stress-free. From gift guides to quick and easy appetizers to the perfect Holiday Party outfits, I will have you covered this Holiday season.

Back to this past weekend, can we talk about perfect weather? Arizona was absolutely beautiful. There is just nothing better than spending quality time with your family. It’s an undescribeable feeling to be home, but I know my heart was full. We shared laughs, played endless board games, and spent lots of time outside under the blue skies. On Saturday we stopped into my Uncle’s new store in the Biltmore Fashion Park(If you are in the area be sure to stop by Bonafide Goods). For those who are not familiar, the Biltmore is a Fashion district that is celebrating 50 years. To celebrate, the outdoor district was full of amazing mannequins dressed in couture and handmade collections. My favorite was the dress constructed out of magazines…AMAZE!

This is the first weekend I will be home for an entire weekend in almost 3 months and it has never felt better. I feel like the weather read my mind (rain in the forecast all weekend) so I could just cozy up on the couch with my favorite blanket, Pinterest and a whole lot of football to watch and not feel guilty about getting things done.

Since I plan to do a whole lot of nothing, I am excited to catch up on some internet browsing:

I am going to be searching for a few dresses for upcoming wedding weekends. I am really loving this one, and this one that is only $50, but the search continues.

Buying for a cause has never been better, Merritt made a great round up of awesome products that support Breast Cancer Awareness.

Kinda loving The Cut’s 50 best Spring 2014 Fashion Week shoe picks… I didn’t know socks and heels was a thing though.

Definitely want to make this chili recipe for Sunday night dinner. And maybe some corn bread on the side.

Do ya’ll read the Skimm? I am a daily reader, but I have just been loving it even more lately.

Happy weekend lovies!

After my alarm gave me quite the wake up call this morning at 6:30am and a few hits of the snooze button later, Monday hit me like a hurricane and I am throwing myself a pity party today. Sometimes you just need a good pity party, right? I feel like I have a vacation hangover, ya know that feeling of complete exhaustion and missing all of the fun you had the day before. Mine normally hits after I go through security at the airport, but this time may have been amplified by the fact we were completely unplugged the entire trip (yes, no cell service or wi-fi). This probably was the best thing, since I didn’t have a chance to feel like I missed out on all of the fun happening in New York this weekend.  Thanks to Instagram, Pinterest, all of the street style photogs, and texts from friends; I caught up on all of the action last night.

Not quite as glamourous as the girls at Fashion Week, but I loved sporting my cowboy boots and cutoffs all weekend.

6 Things I Love

Two things that come to mind when I think about September; Football and Fashion.  A strange combination but two things I absolutely love.  Not only is Fashion’s Night Out this week but the first win by my good ‘ol Jayhawks started this week out right.  Today, Labor Day, was another reason why I love September.  What are your favorite things about this month?

A few of my favorite things:

1. The September Issues- Picked up a few at the airport this weekend, ready to dive in.

2. Mercedes Benz Fashion Week- Can’t wait for the street style, my favorite part.

3. Fashion’s Night Out- Heading to the Hall’s for a night of shopping and sweet treats!

4. The Plaza Art Fair- Best time of the year in Kansas City.

5. Oyster Season- Yes, Please.

6. College Football- Are you ready for some tailgating?

Is It September Yet

Are the September issues giving you inspiration overload?  I have been dreaming about New York Fashion Week after talking to my cousin this week about how busy she is making seating charts and sending out invitations.  It really got me thinking about the outrageously gorgeous outfits I would wear if I had the chance to go Bryant Park this year.  Street style has become almost as important as the clothes on the runways and I am excited to see what the icons bring to the table this year.  Are you wishing you were sitting front row in September?

If you didn’t know already how I have been slightly obsessed with anything monogramed lately, these monogram stackable rings from Catbird are fabulous.  I have little fingers and I always struggle finding rings that are dainty enough for my small hands.  I was looking at Glitter Guides behind the scenes of Fashion Week on Real Beauty and I came across these must have rings.  When I was doing a little research on them I realized that Erica and Lauren from Honestly WTF received a few of these stackables from Catbird.  Naturally they received WTF with a heart to stack on top.  I would love an A, a heart, and a little diamond to stack on my middle finger.  Maybe someday soon, the price isn’t too far out of my range.  I just might have to order one at a time.

Buy a Pair, Give a Pair

During the Holiday season I always tend to “need” everything in site.  Well, that is not really the case, but I have been wanting a pair of glasses that speak to my sometimes quirky personality.  This seems like the best way to not only buy a present for myself but also give a pair to someone in need.  Warby Parker started in order to create “classicaly crafted” eyewear at affordable prices and to give access to millions of people without proper vision care.

I especially love that you can order 5 pairs to try them on at home for FREE! And for the holidays you can order your favorite 4 eyes person a set of 5 with a gift card for them to pick out their favorite pair!

Day 10- A Dash of Comfy

Every Christmas eve the whole family is allowed to open one present and it always “happens” to be pajamas and slippers. This year I am hoping for this cute men’s inspired set from JCrew. You always need a good comfy pair of pjs to open presents on Christmas morning!
