LOVE YOU, FRIDAY

DL1961_14

Today I was supposed to be on the sitting on the sandy beaches in San Diego with my best girlfriends but due to some scheduling mishaps we had to reschedule our girls weekend. While, I am sad I won’t be spending time with my favorite girlies, I am excited to enjoy a casual weekend in Dallas. The only thing that would make it better is if we had a pool!

Happy Weekend loves!

LOVE YOU, FRIDAY

Hi! I am officially back! Sorry for the sparatic posts these past two weeks, but you guys understand right?  With moving across the country, finding a house in less than a week, driving to Kansas City to get our stuff and the pups, and then trying to organize our lives, blogging just was not in the books.  The worst part of it all (btw…this is a total first world problem) we finally just got internet last night. Thank goodness for cute coffee shops and Starbucks that have saved my life these past couple weeks.

I totally missed the fact yesterday was the first day of Spring, so today I officially pulled out my white jeans today in honor of the change in season. I cannot wait to wear my sundresses and sandals this weekend, thank goodness for 75 degrees and sunny. :) Happy Weekend, y’all!

Also, thank you to everyone who commented on yesterday’s post. You really know how to make a girl feel special (and there will be some wedding posts coming your way soon!)

LOVE YOU, FRIDAY

“It always seems impossible until its done.”- Nelson Mandela (He was such an inspiring man)

Does anyone have the same feeling the week after a vacation?  Completely overwhelmed but for some reason it feels like the days drag on until you realize it is Friday! Being really busy at work, a secret project I am working on (you will find out soon, I promise) and trying to keep my workout schedule together, I felt like I barely had a second to breathe. But that is what the weekends are for, right?

This weekend I will be playing dress up for some fun new outfit posts and spending lots of time playing catch up on emails and my DVR.  Thankfully there is a snow storm coming our way, it makes the perfect excuse to sit on the sofa or stay under the covers all day long.  I will also be finishing up my Christmas shopping. If you still need some ideas to cross those gifts off your list, make sure you check out my gift guides to get your shopping done in 1-2-3!

Happy Weekend and thanks for following along this week!

LOVE YOU, FRIDAY

Another week on the books, and let me tell ya folks I really never thought it was going to end.  With the Holidays approaching at a rapid pace, these weeks leading up to all of the fun are seriously dragging. I have so many fun things planned for this blog as well as lots of traveling this holiday season that I cannot wait to share! So this weekends plan involves getting ahead of all of my work because next week starts my official kick- off to the Holidays!

If you are in the shopping mood, there are tons of great sales happening. I found this amazing GAP coat for 40% off and J.Crew is having a crazy good sale- an extra 40% off sale items.  This statement necklace is perfect for a basic black sweater. If you are looking for a party dress, Anthro is having an extra 20% off. Seriously obsessing over this green number, this LBD and really wanting this figure flattering mini.  Happy Weekend loves!

LOVE YOU, SUNDAY

Happy Weekend, Loves! I don’t know about you but the temps have dropped in my neck of the woods and I put on my boots and sweater this morning (total football weather), while I am not sure if I can kiss summer goodbye, it was nice to put on one of my J Crew favorites.

So, this weekend has been very low key because of one reason. I may or may not have booked a flight to Dallas for the wrong weekend and was planning to head out Friday morning. Thankfully, my trusty bestie informed me of my error and I immediately changed my flight. Five hundred dollars later meant we were staying put this weekend, so we decided to enjoy the outdoors and watch (still watching) a lot of football- I guess that is what happens when you live with a boy. Since there is still an entire day ahead of you before the ever so exciting work week ahead, I know I will be enjoying my back deck reading my new book (I am so excited about this, you do not even know!), playing with the pups, and I am sure watching a little football.

Happy Weekend, Y’all!

LOVE YOU, FRIDAY

This was maybe one of the shortest work week I have ever had and I am not complaining (except for the fact that I will actually be at work all weekend).  Did you see some awesome fireworks last night?  I watched them from my backyard with some friends. While most people are at the lake or beach this weekend, I will be at home trying to get organized and maybe enjoy a little time at the pool.

Happy Weekend!

LOVE YOU, FRIDAY

It honestly doesn’t even feel like Friday today,  but I am definitely wishing I was outside instead of at my desk.  Lets talk about 70 degree weather, this is my heaven.  Although today may be an anomoly, I am super excited to start the weekend off with a few drinks on a patio and watching some basketball.  I will be sporting my Crimson and Blue all weekend and cheering on my Jayhawks, and maybe even drink some green beer in honor of St. Pat’s Day (side note: tomorrow is Patrick’s favorite day of the year…can you guess why?) Hope ya’ll have a Happy Weekend!

SKULLS AND SUCH

Happy Weekend! For us here in Kansas City, we got an early start because of the snow storm, but I am so excited it’s Friday.  Since Patrick is not here this weekend, I have a huge to-do list to conquer that involves cleaning the entire house, drinks with the girls, finally hanging a few pictures and ordering a few more (I will get to that in a minute), and watching the Academy Awards on Sunday. Also, remember when I posted earlier this week about cleaning out my closet, well thanks to the snow storm yesterday and being locked inside all day, I purged about forty pieces and I am ready to go donate and sell a few things this weekend.

So anywho, aren’t these still life prints amazing.  I was searching for new art on Etsy this week and I came across Lucy Snowe and her amazing work.  I love the mix of feminine and masculine in each piece, especially how the still life’s just pop off the page.  A while back we bought these white frames from IKEA and these prints are the perfect size. Once the place finally comes together, I promise to share some pictures.

Oh and big news, our couch is finally being delivered. I don’t think I have ever been so excited about a piece of furntiure in my life.

My New Toy

Happy Weekend everyone! Here is a sneak peak at my new gift that P got for me. It is so great, but I am in desperate need of a case. Any suggestions?
