Today marks a very special day in the Schilling house.  It is the official our kick off of the holiday season, which means addressing our Christmas cards with holiday music in the background and hot cocoa in hand. Honestly, I cannot believe I am so on top of the holidays this year because I am always the girl scrambling at the last minute for cards and gifts. I must be turning over a new leaf ;)

These are our first holiday cards as a married couple and I thought what better way to use our wedding photos than on our first Christmas card.  My go-to for invitations and photobooks has always been Shutterfly, so when I found out they have darling holiday cards I knew they were the ones to use.  They have so many great designs, but I like to keep things simple and let the picture speak for itself.

So, I started by uploading one of our wedding photos and then filtered my search to the new foil-stamped cards.  I had such a hard time narrowing down my choice because they have so many great options to choose from. I eventually ended with the “Modern Holiday” Design.  It is so easy to pick your card and change the layout in order to make your photo fit perfectly. In addition to personalizing the front and back of the card, Shutterfly offers the cutest envelope liners and return address labels.

Being the first official year as the Schilling family, I am so excited to send out our Christmas cards to family and friends.  Plus, they all get to see my favorite pictures from our big day :)

Right now, Shutterfly is offering 40% off your holiday cards by using the code: GIVEGIFTS or if you just want to test out Shutterfly’s great quality cards then use the code CARD4U to get one card for free.

Minted Holiday Card Giveaway

It’s almost the time of the season when everyone’s mailboxes are filled with Holiday Cards and those awful full page letters about each of their kids. For people like me, I cringe at a bad designed Christmas card or the stock Happy Holiday cards from Walgreens. Now there is a great solution to the standard card and the best part is that it is affordable. EVERYONE meet, the best solution for a custom, well designed holiday card. I love that you can choose your design, upload your best picture from the year, pick and choose your fonts and colors, and the end- you end with a perfect card!

Thanks to Minted, it’s your chance to win a $100 Minted gift card for your favorite custom Holiday Cards.

Day 5: A Dash of Holiday Cards

Day 5 of 25 Days of Details- One of my favorite parts of the holidays is designing our yearly Christmas card.  It usually is my brother and I making funny faces, hugging, or laughing. Unfortunately this year we weren’t able to capture a great picture with me living in Kansas City.  I thought since I am now an “adult” it may be fun to send out cute postcards to my friends and family.  I have always loved Rifle’s designs but this years holiday collection knocked it out of the park for me.  I think I am going to get these
