Last week when I did a little impromptu Q&A on my Instagram, I received quite a few questions about the necklaces I wear daily, so I thought I would share the answers here!

We are having a lazy summer weekend around here and I couldn’t be happier. After a busy start to our summer, sometimes it is nice to have a quiet weekend at home. If you didn’t catch my Instagram last week, I mentioned I broke my toe on our last day in Nantucket and I have been currently spending the majority of my time in bed icing my injury––just keeping it real over here. What are you up to this weekend?

Yesterday was a total pinch me moment.  In case you missed it on my Instagram, I got to meet Reese Witherspoon! (eek!) It was seriously one of the coolest things I have been a part of since starting this blog almost seven years ago.  She was seriously everything you would hope she would be and more.

InstagramAccounttoFollowWhile Mondays seem to get a bad wrap and most are wishing it was still the weekend; I actually enjoy Mondays. The beginning of the new week brings a chance for a fresh start and new inspiration.  Every Monday I wake up early, grab my coffee and do a quick browse on all my social media channels for inspiration for the week. While I know we are constantly being flooded with content on so many social channels, Instagram is still my favorite way to find inspiration to recharge my creative side.

These last couple weeks have been very good to me and I am so excited for what comes next.  I cannot believe next week is Valentine’s day, which means we are already halfway through February (where is the time going!). P and I are not very big on this holiday. We typically spend it at home making dinner together and watching a movie than trying to force our way through the crowds or sit next to someone on a first Valentine’s day date (actually this has happened and the conversations are just hilarious). Instead, this year, Patrick and I have something fun up our sleeves and another adventure to look forward too.  Don’t worry, we will be sharing a few sneak peeks on Instagram.

Starting today and ever Saturday, I will be playing favorites and rounding up my favorite looks and moments from the week.

You may have noticed I took a little unexpected break from the blog for the last two weeks. This was never my intention and I had this weird guilt as the days went by and I didn’t post anything. The real story was that my day job took us on quite the interesting adventure. Many of you probably don’t know what I do, so here’s the quick story.  I’ll  be back Monday with regular content and some exciting news!

Two Thursdays ago, my fiancé and I hopped on a plane and headed to Scottsdale for a quick weekend getaway (or so we thought) to celebrate my birthday. We had a great weekend and then got news we would be working on a quick 5 day project in a small town in Mississippi. So if you don’t know, Patrick and I work together for an oil and gas company, a job I absolutely love and everyday am grateful to have found something that I like to do and also have the flexibility to work from home, blog, and still have a life.

We arrived is Mississippi 2 Sundays ago, for what we thought would be a quick and painless trip with a few pitstops to Oxford and New Orleans on the way home, but we were SOO wrong. We worked until midnight every night and on top of everything we had no internet the entire time (hence no blogging). After a few long nights, the project was extended an entire week.  More work, late nights and few pieces of fried chicken later, we finally completed our project and made it to New Orleans for a night and then back to Dallas for the weekend, just in time for my bestie to come visit me. Be sure to follow me on Instagram to see our shenanigans around town.  Let’s just say August turned into quite the whirlwind.

An unexpected break sometimes leads to the best inspiration.

If you haven’t noticed from my instagram account, I have been working on my frequent flyer points to say the least. As your reading this, I am probably hoping back on a plane from Phoenix to Dallas, but not long I will be back at it again next weekend.  Between wedding planning, holidays, and wedding season; trying to keep up with a normal routine has been more than I bargained for this summer. The inspiration I find traveling is something I would never replace, but sometimes my computer takes a backseat.

This past weekend was full of checking things off our wedding planning list and the most exciting part was finding my dream dress from one of my favorite designers. Of course, you will have to wait until after the wedding (Patrick does indeed read this blog) to find out the details about the dress. After an exciting day spent searching for the perfect dress, the other part of the weekend was spent by the pool trying to achieve a perfect glow Patrick’s sisters upcoming nuptials and celebrating my best friend’s 26th birthday with all of girlfriends.

You can always follow my adventures at #ADODTravels while I am away!

If you are anything like me, I am constantly on Instagram (it’s definitely my preferred social media channel). I may have a little addiction to scrolling through those pretty filtered images and saying to myself I really wish I knew where she got those amazing jeans or necklace. Well thanks to all my problems are solved! is a new subscription app that works with your Instagram and sends emails with the products found in the image straight to your inbox.  Amazing, right?

If you follow me on Instagram, you have probably noticed that weird link ( that keeps popping up with #liketkit or @liketkit and wondering why? Well all you need to do is go to (I think it is easier on your phone) and sign in with your Instagram account. You can choose how often your would like the emails sent. I chose immediately since I like the instant gratification, but if you don’t like your inbox flooded with emails, then there are lots of other options to choose from.  Once you are signed up, just continue to like all of those pretty photos on Instagram and they will be sent directly to you in an email. Whenever you are in the mood to shop, you can click on the product links in the email and start shopping!
