Merry Christmas

Hi everyone! Sorry it’s so late but Christmas day has been finally winding down for me. It started at 7am when my brother came to wake me up to let me know Santa came, opened presents and went over to my grandparents house. We enjoyed a fabulous lunch and a white elephant gift exchange. Then tonight my best friend Sarah and her mom came over for dinner and lots of wine.

I hope you all enjoyed your time with family and friends with lots of love and laughter. Merry Christmas to all and to all goodnight!

Day 24- A Dash of Christmas Eve

Happy Christmas eve everyone! I hope you are having a lovely night with loved ones, family, and friends.

We will be going to candlelight service, watching Home Alone, making warm cookies for Santa, drinking hot cocoa by the fire and putting Elfie, the magical elf on the tree.

Day 23- A Dash of Travel

Today I traveled home to Scottsdale for the holiday with two suitcases ( one for my clothes and one for all of the gifts!) Surprisingly, the airport craziness was not too bad for the 2 days before Christmas. Hope everyone is done with their Christmas shopping but if not Glitter Guide has some great last minute gift ideas

Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday to the best mom I know! She is the most wonderful and amazing woman.  I hope she has a fabulous day full of great friends, family, and food! I cannot wait to give her a giant hug in 2 days and give her the best birthday present yet!

Day 20: A Dash of Wrap

I have been running around all day picking up last minute stocking stuffers for my family and tonight I have been wrapping all the presents to put into the suitcase (I have to bring two bags home- one for the presents and one for my clothes!) Every year my mom has a new theme for the Christmas presents. They are always beautiful with giant bows and special name tags for each gift.  I think I found my love for everything crafty from her.  In our house growing up we had a room soley dedicated to crafts, which was great because all I ever wanted to do was color and paint (still is a problem until this day). So this year I am starting my own wrapping tradition.  I have been seeing so many pictures lately of darling gift wrapping ideas so I thought I would put my own spin and sparkle on the classic craft paper.

Day 18: Sunday Snapshots Holiday Style

Here are a few snapshots from our adventures today at the new Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.  We went to watch Patrick’s cousin dance in the Kansas City Ballet’s Nutcracker (she was fabulous).  It was the first time I was able to see the inside of the new state of the art building and I was in total awe. The design elements are beautiful and there is not a bad seat in the music hall.  Hope you enjoyed the weekend!

Day 7: A Dash of Calendars

So I know I am a little late on this cute idea for Day 7 of 25 Days of Details but I have always loved the idea to make a non-traditional advent calendar with little gifts or love notes for a boyfriend and the last gift would be their Christmas present. Here are some non-traditional, easy DIY advent calendars…maybe next year!

Day 5: A Dash of Holiday Cards

Day 5 of 25 Days of Details- One of my favorite parts of the holidays is designing our yearly Christmas card.  It usually is my brother and I making funny faces, hugging, or laughing. Unfortunately this year we weren’t able to capture a great picture with me living in Kansas City.  I thought since I am now an “adult” it may be fun to send out cute postcards to my friends and family.  I have always loved Rifle’s designs but this years holiday collection knocked it out of the park for me.  I think I am going to get these

December Cheer

Happy December 1st! I think the month of December is my favorite time of the year because I get to enjoy the company of great people and family, wear cosy sweaters and boots, drink hot chocolate, and this year- decorate our own Christmas Tree! Hope everyone enjoys this month as much as I do.

I’m Back and So Thankful

Lately I have been feeling so thankful and blessed. I have been gone from my little bloggy for quite some time because alot of things have been happening in my life. From October until now, my life has been quite the adventure and I do not see that changing anytime soon.  I am so greatful to have such supportive people in my life.  From Scottsdale to Las Vegas to Kansas City to Austin for Thanksgiving-here are a few snapshots from the last 2 months.  The best part of my new adventure is our new goldendoodle puppy, Molly.
