New York Memories

And our love story continues…

It was in New York where we fell in love again. Not that we ever fell out of love, but there was something magical that happened this weekend.  Maybe it was the crisp, cold air, holding hands through the park, or those long meals filled with so much happiness. New York was the start of a new year and our new love story.

If you follow along, you know that we love to travel and we d0 it a lot. We love to travel together, but sometimes we are left solo on our adventures.  I have been to New York a handful of times on my own, each time I always felt like there was something missing.  This time, I saw the city in a new light.  It was because of him.  It was vibrant and busy, even in the midst of negative temperatures and gloomy skies.  It was like the two of us were in a our own universe and those millions of people just disappeared.

It has been a few weeks since I posted a Love You, Friday post; mostly because I am normally packing for a trip on Thursday night. This really seems to be a weekly routine as of late.  Today was supposed to be no different than the rest, except we decided to cancel our trip to Boston.  I was not worth the risk to get stuck for a few extra days due to weather and we are totally bummed out.

Instead, I will be working on some fun projects, baking up some holiday treats and trying to enjoy a little bit of this (cold) sunshine.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend, lovlies!

Thank goodness it’s Friday.  After being on a 15- day (do whatever we want, wake up whenever we want) vacation, this week has been a doozie trying to get back in the swing of things. To say we have some laundry to do is an understatement, but really no one wants to hear about laundry. Instead, I want to thank all of you sweet readers and Instagram followers for all of the love about Patrick and I’s engagement (if you were wondering or asking, that picture was not staged :)). We are seriously over the moon excited and I can’t wait to start sharing a few little details here on the blog.  Is this something you would like to see on A Dash of Details?

Also, I was blown away by the amazing response to our #NewYearNewYou giveaway week! I cannot wait to try some of your yummy recipes from yesterday and excited to see the progress you make with your goals in 2014. With a wedding in the works, a healthy lifestyle is definitely at the top of my list.  So, onto the winners!

Congrats to:

CATHRYN ADAIR for winning the Tata Harper Winter Essential Set
