Designer Grey Moto Jacket / Buffalo Check Flannel / Black Tights / Red Nailpolish / Designer Clutch via T.J. Maxx

Being from Arizona, I am a huge fan of warm temps, but there is nothing better than the leaves changing from shades of green, to yellow, orange and red. Another thing I love about the drop in temps is switching out my sun dresses for Fall layers. Since Fall weather can be alot like a yo-yo, wearing light layers is the perfect way to be prepared for unpredictable temperatures. Thankfully T.J. Maxx has it covered when it comes to Fall finds. I found this amazing designer moto jacket in the Contemporary section last week. It’s warm and soft like a sweatshirt, but structured and styled to work with almost every type of outfit. It has been on some major repeat.

Another way to add a little extra warmth to your outfit, while still looking chic is to layer a sweater and a flannel or blouse. You can even go really trendy and pair that blouse with a cropped sweater. The 90’s are totally back this Fall and I am a big fan. That could have something to do with my love for round shades, plaid, and a good little dose of Lisa Frank. I mean really who doesn’t love a good notebook. But back to the point…Fall layering. Black tights are the most important piece for transitioning your wardrobe into Fall. Last week when I was browsing T.J. Maxx, I found some amazing pairs of textured and designer brand pairs for half the price of other retailers. Not only are they flattering when paired with a skirt and boots, but they keep you warm too! Trust me, you will definitely want to check out the selection at your closet T.J. Maxx store. Another great find during my recent shopping trip was my favorite nail polish brand. I scooped up two colors with their catchy names like After School Boy Blazer and the tried and true Ballerina Slippers.

Layering jewelry is another big trend this season. I am normally always a gold girl, but I loved the silver zippers on this grey jacket, so I layered two dainty necklaces, some silver stacking rings and a statement ring to add a little color to my neutral outfit.

Thanks to Devon for the recommendation, I found some amazing Dry Shampoo while browsing the beauty isle last week. Can someone tell me why I have never used this stuff before? It is AH-MAZING, especially on the days I have an early 5am wake up call. Seriously it is going to become my new best friend.

I’d love to hear from ya’ll; what are your favorite key pieces when layering for Fall?

So I know I am never going to look like a super model and I have been pretty blessed with clear skin my entire life (thanks mom and dad) but I cannot help but notice lately that I have been getting a little rosey in the cheeks and little spotty in my t-zone. I know it is the fact that I am getting older and I grew up always being outside in the strong Arizona sun, but I just always wished that my skin would be perfectly tan and smooth until I was old (back in the day when I thought old was 40 years old).  Since I left for college and my mom gave me my first skin care package, I have made an effort to try and take care of my skin (I know I am probably a little too late to the game).  Honestly until I went to college, I had only ever used Dove soap and Oil Olay face lotion with SPF 15. I also never wore face makeup until about four years ago and it was awesome.  For the last year or so I have been hearing my friends rave about their Clarisonic, but I really never knew what it was other than it was just AH-MAZING and kind of pricey but totally worth it. Lately I have really started to think about my skin and how important taking good care of it now will save years later.  So I decided it is time to pull the trigger and try this life changing device.

Does anyone have any recommendations for me and my sensitive skin? Are there better ones than others?  Any advice would be great for this first timer!
