Baking With Love

If you read my post yesterday you would have seen that I was baking cookies all afternoon and watching my Jayhawks beat Oklahoma State! I found this great recipie for sugar cookies on Sweet Sugar Belle blog where there is no refrigeration necessary.  It took me half the time that it normally takes and I think they taste even better than Martha’s famous sugar cookies (Sorry Martha).  * A tip for the icing- use gel food coloring. You achieve better colors for the royal icing.  

Here is the reciepe via Sweet Sugar Belle 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup- 2 sticks of real unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cup confectioner’s sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp almond flavoring 
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
