Style Details No. 201

Well, I have officially gone rogue and all of my shopping carts are full of florals, white blouses and light denim.  Minus the fact that there is still snow on the ground in the Northeast––sorry friends, it’s pretty much perfect here in Dallas.  The tree outside my window is blooming with the most gorgeous white flowers and it is making me oh, so happy.

Two weeks ago I hosted the Callie Collection Wines launch at Avant Garden. I had such a fun time sipping their crisp Pino Grigio, taking boomerangs with Brighton and making DIY flower letters.  I can’t believe it has taken me three years to step into this little flower shop. It is such a darling spot and the peonies were in full bloom!

Almost everything in life is just a little better when broken-in.

This past weekend marked one year of living in Dallas and it’s starting to finally feel like home.  I have my go-to places, my friends and now a workout routine that I am trying to stick with.  With life being a little hectic lately, it is nice to feel a little “broken-in”.

I was thinking back to where I was a year ago today and thinking about how much has changed and yet, how much has stayed the same.  I had just started my new job, moved into our house , and did not know very many people. Today I am still with the same job, live in the same house but now I have friends that I can count on for just about anything. For me, friends are what make everything feel a little bit more broken-in.

This weekend felt like Spring in Dallas, so it was only necessary to pull out my fancy jacket.  :)

Weather completely affects my mood. Tell me you’re with me on this?  I woke up earlier than usual, enjoyed spending the majority of my days outside, and felt was extremely productive when I opened up all of the windows and blasted my favorite Spotify playlist yesterday. Since I spent most of Saturday in this grey tank, jeans and my New Balance’s; I decided to just throw on my new favorite jacket, a pair of black heels and these tassel earrings for dinner with friends.

This week’s goal is to nail down our wedding music and I would love your input.  Please leave your favorite love song suggestions in the comments below!
