First Day of Fall

It is finally here- the first day of Fall- my favorite time of year.  It was even better when I stepped outside and it was 65 degrees here, which means time for a pumpkin spiced latte.  Then I got to work for Treat Day Friday and there was pumpkin loaf- could this day get any better?

Happy Friday Everyone!

Treat Day Friday

It’s treat day again, which means it’s finally Friday! A couple weeks ago I came across Grilled Cheese Social (my heaven).  Makenzie Smith, the creator of Grilled Cheese Social started her blog last year, she has made almost every variation of the grilled cheese I could think of and all look like they would melt in your mouth.  yumm.  Her heart shaped French toast with mascarpone cheese looks delectable and perfect for Treat Day Friday.  Enjoy!

Ingredients

– 3 heart shaped pieces of challah bread (I used a giant cookie cutter)
–  2 eggs

– 1/2 cup of milk

– 1/4 tsp vanilla

– 1/4 tsp cinnamon
– 3 large sliced organic strawberries
– 2 pads of salted butter
– 2 tbs of Mascarpone Cheese
– 2 tbs of Nutella

*optional whipped cream*
