Woo! It’s Friday and I could not be more excited! Anyone else feeling like April is just flying by? This week has been full of fun events and I sort of feel like a chicken with its head cut off! On another note, this month is Patrick and I’s first anniversary. It is so crazy how fast this year has flown by because our wedding feels like yesterday. Next week I will be posting some fun wedding things and tips for you bride-to-be’s out there!
Whole 30 update- So I have to be honest with you guys, I decided when I started the Whole30 that I wouldn’t cut out alcohol. Hear me out, the reason why I started this process was to feel better, and guess what I am on Day 19 and feeling great! I never had any intention of cutting out my occasional glass of wine, but I did have every intention of cutting out dairy and grains from my diet completely even after the Whole30 program was over. So I will tell you, this Tuesday, I went to a wine dinner with The Everygirl and Kendall Jackson Wines. It was amazing and the tablescape was incredible! Want to know the hardest part of the night, saying no to the chocolate ganache. I don’t even like chocolate, but I guess my sugar cravings are still there. I kept on track with my eating this week even in social settings. I have to say that is definitely the hardest part of this entire program. I am 100% an extrovert, and being with people gives me energy, but being difficult at a restaurant is so embarrassing to me. The only thing keeping me going is that in the end I know it’s worth it. I passed the halfway mark and I have to say, I think I am going to continue eating this way after the 30 days is finished. Maybe I will cheat every once and a while, but I have more energy, my face feels brighter, and my health has done a 180.
