“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.”-Oprah

I have so many things I have to be thankful for this year. First and foremost, for my family, my health, my puppy girls, and of course, and all of you!

From celebrating my papa’s 94th birthday in Park City to spending the summer in Nantucket with some of my favorite people, this year has been filled with so many highs.

My husband: Not to get too sappy over here, but somehow he makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world every morning. This year has been a battle for the work/life balance and he has definitely picked up my slack (for a lack of a better word) all year long. I am so thankful to have a husband that respects me, makes me laugh on the daily, and has my back, always.

My family: I am so thankful for my family. They already know this because I tell them I love them every chance I get, but I honestly could cry thinking about how much they mean to me. I am so grateful for the 34 phone calls a day I have with my mom and stepmom, my Friday chats with Dad, and the endless snapchats with my brother and siblings-in-laws. They are the people who shaped me into the person I am today.

Friendship: Moving around a lot over the last seven years has allowed me to meet some amazing people and create lifelong friendships. I honestly feel like the luckiest girl in the world. This year Mackenzie and I got to spend so much time together in Nantucket. She honestly felt like she was the sister I never had but always wanted. Although she moved away from Dallas (insert crying face here), we will always have a special bond.  I am also so thankful for my AZ gals. I  miss them everyday (I hope they know this) and I am honestly so grateful to have such incredible friends who put in the effort to keep in touch even when we are hundreds of miles away.  They know I would be popping into their houses on the regular if we lived in the same state.  These ladies have been there for me through the ups and downs, happy events and sad, and everything in between. It has been over ten years since I lived in Scottsdale, but we have only gotten closer.

YOU: This space has been my creative outlet now for almost seven years (how did we get here?!) now and honestly my life would not be the same without A Dash of Details.  I am forever grateful for all of you that have been reading from day one or even the ones that are just tuning in today. You are the reason why I do what I do, and there is nothing I love more than connecting with all of you. This space has opened up so many opportunities for me to find myself. In the last seven years this has been my safe space for me to grow, learn, try new things, fail, fail again, and then get back up and try again. This little after work hobby has turned into a full time passion. I can honestly say I wake up every morning and say I love what I do everyday.

So thank YOU from the bottom of my heart for following along. Because after all, life is all about the little details.   Dancing in Navy Dress A Dash of Details in Navy Dress for Thanksgiving
