Last weekend I hopped on a plane to Charleston for a fun girl’s weekend with Mackenzie, Carly, Jillian, and Lauren. We actually planned this trip a year ago when we were in Nantucket and I had been counting down the days until the weekend finally arrived. We had the best time thanks to our little tour guide, Jillian for the best girls weekend! She moved to Charleston a few years ago and planned our entire itinerary with all of her favorite spots around town.Read more
For my 30th birthday, Patrick surprised me with 72 hours in Napa––it was magical. Wine country has been on our list for years and I was so excited when he told me the news. He planned every detail, so I really can’t take too much credit for this itinerary, but let me just say, it was a good one.
Last year at this time I was headed to Surfside for my daily dip in the ocean with Mackenzie. This year I am hiding inside from the triple digit temps in Dallas. Anyone have a time machine?! All jokes aside, this past trip to Nantucket was just the spark I needed to fall back in love with my camera. I was so inspired by the fresh blooms, the water and colors that I ended up taking over a thousand photos in just a few short days. Being behind the camera is something I truly love.
For the last 4 years, Mackenzie and her amazing family have invited us to stay with them on Nantucket. Last year, Patrick and I went out for the month of July and then I ended up staying the rest of the summer to help Mackenzie with wedding planning. It was one of those summers we will never forget.
One activity that Mackenzie always plans is a sailboat ride on the Endeavor. This year was no exception, so without further adieu let’s cue the picture overload…
If there is one thing that I was missing last summer on Nantucket, it was some casual summer sweaters. I brought my trusty Tippi’s with me, but I was lacking different styles and weights for cooler nights. This year I came prepared and packed this striped one––which ended up being my most worn item, this Flag sweater and a navy and ivory cable knit cashmere for throwing over my shoulders.
I am counting down the minutes until we hop on our plane this weekend to Nantucket to see some of my favorite people in one of my favorite places. Here’s what I am packing for our 4th of July weekend!
This past weekend I made my way down to Playa Del Carmen for one of my high school besties Bachelorette parties. If you were following along on Stories, you may have already seen a glimpse into all the fun we had. I left with a glowing tan and abs from laughing so hard. Girls trips are really good for the soul. ;)
A last minute trip to Vail popped up on our calendar and I couldn’t resist another opportunity to get in a little skiing and crisp mountain air. We are headed back to the mountains this weekend and I will be bringing all of my warm weather essentials.
