MIDNIGHT SNACK

Late Night Wedding FavorI cannot believe it have been 1.5 years since our wedding day. It really still feels like yesterday I was walking down the aisle in a white dress and eating these french fries in bed after the best night of my life.

A few of you have recently reached out about our wedding, so I decided to give you a little inside scoop about our process and hopefully answer some questions. I can honestly say I really enjoyed planning our wedding and I think having a background in event planning really helped. After talking to friends and readers, I know the process it is NOT for everyone.  Something you may not know about me: I love DIY projects.  For the wedding, I tried to let my wedding planner take the lead on outsourcing most of them to avoid overloading my plate, but there were a few things I wanted to do myself to keep the cost down.

I recently have had a lot of questions about “Our Midnight Snack.” It is funny because this was a total last minute project. About 3 weeks before the wedding I decided our guests needed a little treat as they were walking out of the party.  My budget with catering was already set, so adding a dessert table was out of the question. Honestly, I am not a huge fan of sweets.  So I thought after a few (or more than a few) drinks, I knew what I would want: french fries.

We ordered these carriers after tons of online research. We thought it would be so adorable to be able to carry your goodies back to your room after a long night of dancing. Once we secured the carrier, I created these stickers to customize the box.  We ordered the mini bottles of Coca Cola and Diet Coke from Amazon, these stripe cups and straws and the hotel made the french fries and put together the boxes for our guests. Our friends and family still talk about the “Midnight Snack” to this day.
