My mother always told me in high school, you are not a lady who lunches. Well, today I turned a new leaf and found a fabulous lunch spot in the Crestwood Shops in Kansas City called Cafe Europa. It was darling and quaint with a fantastic menu. I had the spinach and feta quiche with a waldorf side salad. They also have the cutest mini cupcakes. DELISH!

Sorry for being gone for so long. So you know how I told you earlier that I wasn’t going home for Easter…well, my parents suprised me with a ticket and I took a long and much needed vacay to sunny Scottsdale for the long weekend. But don’t worry, I am back now with lots of great inspiration for my relaxing trip!

The rain is really cramping my weekend style, not to mention that it is 40 degrees. I wanted to take a long walk in the park and maybe read a book but it is looking less and less likely. Oh well, maybe next weekend. Hope you are having a relaxing Saturday.

When i was in New York this summer and my cousin took me to this little hole in the wall..best idea ever! The Grey Dog is a little sandwhich and salad joint in the East Village and let me tell you they have the best Sangria I have ever had. The place is so charming with a handwritten menu and small tables both inside and out.

An amazing adventure it was.. the bf took me on a weekend getaway to Chicago and he did not skip any steps. A limo, roses, champagne, the most beautiful dinner, shopping on Michigan Avenue, it was perfect! The images above are from our dinner at Sixteen in the Trump International, we had the most amazing view of Chicago and the food was to die for, and of course the wine. The executive chef, Chef Brunacci creates melt in your mouth dishes with a twist on New American cuisine. Overall it was an amazing weekend. Hope your Valentine’s Day is as great as mine was :)
