If there could be one outfit that would perfectly describe my style, it would be this–white tee, jeans, sandals, and a few unexpected accessories. Over the last few years I have been slowly cleaning out my closet and streamlining my wardrobe to reflect my signature style.
My friends like to remind me on a daily basis that I am one of the “lucky” ones that get to work from home. It has been almost four years since I worked in corporate America. Long gone are the days of pencil skirts, blouses and pumps. I have replaced my business casual with multiple versions of the outfit I am styling today. For one, I sit at my desk in my home office for over 8 hours a day, so comfort is key. Especially when your dogs and husband are the only people that see you on the daily.
Last week, I finally parted ways with my corporate wardrobe. It was so funny, although it has been four years since working in an office setting, I had the hardest time saying goodbye. After donating my business casual favorites to the women’s shelter, I knew it was going to good use. Plug, I made more room for my new everyday wardrobe. ;)
