There are many theories on why paper is the traditional gift for a couples’ first anniversary. One theory being that paper is a blank slate, so you can write your story together. Another being that paper symbolizes the future you can write together. When I was thinking of a first wedding anniversary gift for Patrick, I had the perfect one for the two of us.
Our photographer, Elyse, did an amazing job capturing our love on our wedding day (you can see our entire wedding here). For the entire first year I couldn’t decide which pictures were worthy of printing because I just loved them all. So right before our anniversary, I decided printing a few of our wedding pictures would make for a perfect “paper” gift. After picking out our two favorite pictures, I discovered Framebridge, a custom framing site to frame your images or mementos. You pick a frame, upload or send in your artwork, then they send it back to you all framed and beautiful. If you haven’t heard of Framebridge, I am about to change your life. They make it so easy to frame your most prized possessions in an affordable way.
I decided to go with the Marin frames from the Clean Collection because I knew I wanted to keep the frames casual with the formality of the black and white photos. We love how they turned out and cannot wait to use Framebridge again to fill our home with special memories. My next project, a gallery wall.
