Happy Monday! I am going into the week with lots of excitement and maybe a tad bit more energy than normal. If you live in Dallas than you know we enjoyed some seriously incredible weather this weekend and I fully took advantage (I was able to wear this top out on Saturday!).
This weekend I went on a really long walk and listened to a few episodes of the Goop podcast. Have you listened? It’s one of my favorites because it gets me excited to be just a little bit healthier with my lifestyle choices. After a weekend of indulging, I spent the better part of yesterday starting my detox. I began by cleaning out my beauty drawers, closet and office. I have to say it feels so good to be organized again. After the house was clean, I ventured to the store to stock the fridge. Somehow we have gone down a dark spiral of pizza and Chinese food. To be honest, my 30 year old body isn’t bouncing back like it used to. In effort to reset, I decided to make a detox soup that I plan to eat all week to jumpstart some healthy eating habits again. In case your curious about the recipe, there really wasn’t much science behind it other than filling my dutch oven with a bunch of veggies and bone broth (carrots, celery, onion, zucchini, bell peppers, tomatoes, and a few other healthy additions). I am ready for the new season (like most of us), more sunshine and making healthy choices.
Now, onto the real topic of today’s post, pearls. Pearls are making a major comeback and in the best way possible. This simple style was actually the first “real” jewelry piece I ever owned. Patrick got me a pair of pearl earrings for my birthday and I still wear them to this day. I love the simplicity they add to any outfit. While I am not into the multi strand pearl necklace look, I do love a simple pearl earring, barrette, or even handbag.
