4th of July Style

I am counting down the minutes until we hop on our plane this weekend to Nantucket to see some of my favorite people in one of my favorite places. Here’s what I am packing for our 4th of July weekend!

Ralph Lauren Sweater / Slides / One Piece Swimsuit / Truffle Pouch / Sunglasses / Blue & White Dress / Bracelets / Denim Shorts / Lilah B. Blush / White Dress

We are headed to the island for seven days to spend time with some of our best friends for the holiday.  I couldn’t be more excited to see Mackenzie & Amy––it’s been a minute since we were all together, take morning dips in the ocean, and eat my first lobster roll of the season. Since we have a full house,  Mackenzie and I made a tentative schedule for the week which I cannot wait to share with all of you!

So, Patrick and I were both in need of new carry-ons and we ended up going with the AWAY Bigger Carry-On. I not-so-secretly love the fact we have matching luggage for the first time ever.

I have been slowly building my summer/Nantucket wardrobe in anticipation for this trip. Think stripes, lots of blue and white, flowy Dôen dresses, and some new sweaters for chilly nights.

I picked up these two HATCH dresses (here & here––perfect for all of my pregnant friends, too). Also, I have talked about my love for all things Dôen before, but the summer collection is one not to be missed. For our trip I also found this darling Roberta Roller Rabbit dress.

When it comes to my summer wardrobe, I constantly reach for stripes (well, really all year round). My love for KULE started last summer and let’s just say, a girl can never have too many stripes.  In case you are curious, this is my favorite style. I also picked up this blouse and this dress from Tuckernuck and will be perfect for those chilly Nantucket nights.

If there was one thing that was missing from my closet last year in Nantucket, it was sweaters for when the sun goes down. Most nights are a little chilly, so if you are ever heading to the charming little island, be sure to pack some sweaters.  I finally purchased my first iconic Ralph Lauren flag sweater (petite girl trick, buy the little boys XL and save a ton!), this Vince striped sweater, this KULE one, and this darling navy number. I am also going to pack my trusty Tippi––currently on major sale!

Since I only pack in a carry on, I am very strategic when it comes to packing. I always bring my favorite skinnies in denim and white and I found some new denim cutoffs––these are seriously my new obsession. I thought I would never find a pair that I loved more than my vintage Levi’s and these are definitely a top contender.  Dare I say, I love them even more?!

I actually ended up not buying any new suits for this trip, because last summer I invested in good quality suits.  This Marysia one-piece I have in three colors, this Solid and Stripe bikini is my favorite and this Marysia one shoulder suit is without a doubt a show stopper.

If you have been following me for any amount of time, you know I can’t get enough of the basket bag trend. This little Kayu mini has been in constant rotation and I picked up this larger version to take to the beach! Also, this one would be too cute for the 4th of July!

I have been wearing less and less makeup this summer. Not sure if it is because I have been focusing on using effective clean skincare and getting regular facials, but I have been keeping my makeup routine very simple.  I recently was introduced to Lilah B. and I can’t get enough of this getaway set. I just add this mascara and a little of this RMS highlighter and I am good for the day! I will be updated all of you on my summer beauty routine soon!

If you want to pack in a carry-on, there are a few things you should never travel without (IMO). My trusty TRUFFLE pouches keep everything organized in my travel tote, my Cuyana makeup bags, and travel size sunscreen.

Do you have any fun plans for the 4th?

*Side note, I know it has been a little quiet around here the last few weeks. Thanks for sticking around (or if you are new, hi!!) but things are about to change in a big way.
