I love when I find closet staples I can wear from work meetings to date night. Banana Republic is my go-to for pieces that work for both work and play. Something I have been loving lately is elevated separates.
Love you, Friday.
This has been a big week in our house. I have been keeping you in the dark for a lot of what has been going on behind the scenes lately, but with new jobs and exciting upcoming projects for A Dash of Details, I decided there is no better time to celebrate than FriYay :)
Tonight we will be popping a bottle of champagne and this weekend we are headed to Mackenzie and Will’s lake house for lots of R&R and hopefully some Fall weather. Speaking of Mackenzie, she launched the first round of Bubble Earrings on Design Darling and they sold out like hotcakes! I am seriously going to buy every color when they come back in stock because I just love them!
More things I love: this monogram tote might be my favorite bag of all time. I still get heart eyes seeing my new monogram (I know, not the best letter combo) because I am still building up my collection. Next up on my list of monogram items; towels and bedding, oh and a cashmere sweater ;)
Are you noticing a trend? I started laying out my outfits for our upcoming trip to Nantucket and I think Mackenzie is rubbing off on me. As she says, #navyornothing. Well, my entire packing list is shades of blue and white and of course, lots of stripes. I have all a few ideas for white on white looks for a day on the boat and a pair of cute shorts for a bike ride in ‘Sconset. Seriously, this weekend cannot come soon enough! I would love for you to scroll through my packing options and let me know what I have to bring in my suitcase!
Joie / JUH-WA / (French) Noun: Joy
I have been a longtime fan of Joie. I am constantly drawn to the brands relaxed, chic style. When it comes to contemporary brands, I always search for pieces that will pass the season test and every piece of Joie in my closet has exceeded with flying colors. The first time I saw this, I fell in love with this dress.
So last week was all about rain and this week was sunshine and 90 degrees. I am happy as a clam and ready to hit the pool this weekend.
You might be reading this while I am in the car roadtrippin’ to Austin for the weekend to celebrate the 4th of July. The is the start to one crazy July for me, which includes living out of a suit case for pretty much the entire month. This weekend, I decided to pack light and fit everything into my Lo and Son’s Catalina bag. You’ve heard me talk about my love for my Lo and Son’s bag before, but it is seriously my go-to when packing for overnight trips. My favorite is the bottom zipper compartment because I can fit 2 or 3 pairs of shoes, and some of my beauty products which keeps the top compartment organized. The worst part about packing an overnight bag is feeling like you have to throw everything out of your bag just to find that one top (I know you guys are with me on that one!). Since this weekend is all about the red, white and blue, I decided to keep my wardrobe very patriotic-chic. I told you in this post, my closet is lacking the red department, but I figured some NARS Lipstick and a few bracelets will do the trick!
I hope all you lovies have a happy and safe holiday! xox.
