Tuckernuck Green Stripe Shirt Dress

Tuckernuck Green Stripe Shirt Dress

You know when you have those weeks that just don’t go as planned? I am feeling it this week and with lots of changes happening behind the scenes, I can’t help but be super excited for this weekend. I am headed to Connecticut to host Mackenzie’s baby shower this weekend! I am so excited to escape the heat in Dallas and enjoy some time with my girlfriends.

I had so much fun answering your questions last week on Insta, so I thought I would answer a few of the most asked ones here on the blog! It is so fun that so many of you are pregnant and due around the same time! I promise this will still be style first, but I love that you are so interested in how everything is going! I also have so many things I have been loving that I haven’t been able to share, so today’s post is going to be a little mish mash of all of recent favorites, finds and answers to some of your questions!

FALL SHOPPING. Did I say Fall too soon? While we are still experiencing sweltering temps here in Dallas, I am starting to slowly transition my thinking to Fall shopping. This may be due to the fact only six things in my closet really fit me right now or I the fact that am sick of wearing the same said six dresses. Whatever the case may be, I have been browsing my favorite retailers for the new arrivals which has me excited about sweater weather, mules, denim (even if that means finding a pair of maternity jeans that actually fit) and more. Brands like Ulla Johnson, Ganni, and Vince are giving me all good vibes for Fall. On another note, I can’t go without mentioning this dress! I ordered it last week from Tuckernuck and I can’t stop wearing it! Normally I am a forever blue and white stripes girl, but the green was just speaking to me last week. A few others worth noting from their new arrivals page: this dress (obsessed with the color), this classic mini, and these darling new headband styles.

PREGNANCY STYLE. I am lol’ing just reading that out loud. Up until last week, I thought that I was going to be able to wear my normal clothes throughout my entire pregnancy. If you have been following me for a while, you know I love a good shift (aka bag) dress. Oh boy was I wrong. I didn’t realize that this little babe was just going to show up out of the blue last week causing most of my favorite pieces out of the rotation. This all being said, I really love and am embracing the changes happening right now, and bonus I get to buy a few new pieces to fit my ever-changing figure. I told you a few weeks ago, most of the clothes I will buy are going to be from my normal brands (hopefully just a size up). If you are wondering about my decision, honestly, most of the stuff just isn’t my style. While I am still trying to figure out my “pregnancy style” this week, but I have been gathering inspo from some of my favorite follows. In case you are in need of a few: Julia, Samantha, Geri, Bridget and Jacey.

SKINCARE. A few of you asked about my current skincare routine during the Q&A and I am excited to share all the details with you next week because I am in a really good routine! I started using Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum and OBSESSED would be an understatement. I have been using day and night after cleansing and toning and it has changed the texture of my skin in the best way possible. I chatted about Follain last week too, but they are offering free shipping TODAY only! A few of my must-haves if you want to scoop them up before next week’s post: Tata Harper Regenerating Cleaners, Indie Lee COQ10, and this Instant Glow Body Oil (it’s a spray and quick drying which I love for the bump).

Which supplements are you taking while pregnant? This question came up a few times last week and I want to first say that you should check with your doctor first and foremost! I am taking the Ritual Prenantal vitamins daily, Magnesium at night, and during the first trimester I was taking B6 for the nausea (which seemed to help!)

Who are your favorite food bloggers to follow? I honestly only follow a few because I get overwhelmed and try to keep it simple! I love Defined Dish, What’s Gaby Cookin, Tipps in Kitch, and Food Life Love. They all create easy, clean recipes that I can follow!

The other questions feel like they deserve their own blog post, so stay tuned for Fall Wedding Guest dresses, Pregnancy Skincare Routine, Nursery Inspiration, Our Registry List (I received the best advice from three girlfriends that I can’t wait to share with all of you–––I am no expert!), and Fall Style Staples.

Thanks for sticking around…I know it has been a little crazy over here lately, but get excited because there are so many fun details I cannot wait to share that have been happening behind the scenes!
