BEST OF 2018

Cabo Sailing

2018 was filled with so many highs, lots of changes, and of course, a few low moments, but I am ending the year so grateful for my husband, family, friends and all of you!

After starting the year with a goal to slow down and travel less, we ended up with 20 trips on the books.  From Cabo with Mackenzie and Will to kick off 2018, a few trips back home to Scottsdale, bachelorette parties in Mexico, Idaho with Amy and Wade, Nantucket, a surprise trip to Napa for my 30th birthday, Maine in the Fall, and ending the year with our annual trip to Vail with our best friends, we just can’t help ourselves ;)

2018 was a big year for me with big changes.  I took a leap of faith and changed careers and could not be happier. In case you don’t know the story, here is a little background about my second career.

We finally revealed our home on the blog. Here is our living room, kitchen and master bedroom.

A Dash of Details Kitchen
Grasscloth Side Table and Williams Sonoma Home Decor

Spending time at home was one of my favorite things about this year.  We made our space feel like a home and spent lots of time in our backyard.  See our patio reveal here.

Mackenzie and Ali in Nantucket
Ali and Patrick in Nantucket
Ali Schilling and Amy Stone

While we didn’t get to spend the entire summer out on Nantucket this year, we were so lucky to celebrate the 4th of July on my favorite island with our favorite people! I am forever grateful to have met Mackenzie almost 8 years ago and her family for hosting us year after year!

Vince Mules from Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

I turned 30 this year and  wrote a letter to my 20 year old self.  It’s one of my favorite posts of 2018.

Patrick surprised me with a trip to Napa for my birthday.  We had the time of our lives.

Black Cami NYC
Artifact Uprising Wedding Album

I finally made our wedding album, it is one of my most treasure gifts.

It was so fun to look back at the year, say goodbye to 2018 and hello to the new year ahead! Over the last nine years of blogging, I have learned so much about myself and truly found my passion in life. From the bottom of my heart, I am so grateful that this little space on the internet has connected me to all of you.

2019, let’s do this!
