LOVE YOU, FRIDAY + THANK YOU

I cannot thank you enough for all of the sweet calls, text and comments yesterday about our announcement. I read through every single one and got a little emotional thinking our little boy is going to be surrounded by so much love. I’ll just be over here living on Cloud 9 all weekend.

My birthday was yesterday––hello, 31. We celebrated in the best way possible by seeing our little baby boy. It was so wonderful to hear from the doctor that he was healthy and to see his cute little face! I will be sharing an update of how my pregnancy is going thus far next week, but it was seriously the highlight of my day! After a little change of plans, we are going to be celebrating in town the rest of the weekend and I am looking forward to some major pool time and a little tennis (seriously cannot get enough of my new favorite hobby).

THINGS OF NOTE

Sales, sales, sales. By now, you probably have guessed why I haven’t been doing too much shopping. I honestly have not bought one thing this summer, but my rotation of dresses that fit is getting smaller by the day. I ordered this dress a few days ago and wore last night to dinner. Let’s just say obsessed is an understatement and I will be ordering it in every color. I am trying to find non-maternity dresses and tops that will work with the bump and that I can wear for years after! I have also talked about my love for Hatch (wayyy before I was pregnant––remember this dress?) They are having 40% off and I already have this jumpsuit in black and this dress on the way! Shopbop is having up to 40% off and their are so many cute dresses available, oh and this Simon Miller bag. They also have 70% off final sale. If there is something you were dying to have this summer, now is the time to scoop it up! Lusting over all of J.Crew pre-Fall goodies, they are having 40% off , too!

Around the web. Mackenzie bought a house! I can’t wait to be her first house guest in a few weeks! Jess announced she was pregnant yesterday, too! I can’t wait to go through this process together. Lusting over Jacey’s Italian summer. I love that they brought the entire family along on the adventure. I have been deep diving all of Geri’s motherhood and pregnancy posts the last few weeks.

Products I have been loving. A few weeks ago the team at Follain spoiled me with a few new products I had been dying to test out. I will be doing a full post next week on my summer skincare routine, but I can’t help but share how much I am loving the cult favorite, Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum. I don’t know what took me so long to finally try, but my skin has never felt better. Also, another product to note is the Kosas Tinted Face Oil. For someone who really doesn’t love makeup, this light coverage is perfect for my dry, summer skin.

Ask away. I would love to hear if y’all have any questions about career, style, or pregnancy? I was having such a difficult time writing when I had to keep my big secret. Every time I went to write I felt like I was hiding a part of myself from you and now that the cats out of the bag, I can’t wait to start sharing with all of you again!

Happy Friday, friends! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all of the love yesterday. You sure know how to make a girl feel extra special!

First off—congratulations again! It’s such wonderful news. And happy birthday :)

I have a question about styling a home! I’m about to move from a condo in Hawaii to an historic home in Savannah, GA. Any tips on 1) buying more furniture (how to look, which pieces to buy first) and 2) flushing out a personal interior decorating style (our Hawaii home style is much more suited for Honolulu/feels more “vacation” home than everyday life.)? Thank you!
