Happy Friday, pumpkins! In true October fashion, I finally made it to the pumpkin village yesterday with Merritt to pick out our first pumpkin for the season, watch all the kiddos run wild, and explore the Arboretum for the first time since we moved to Dallas.
As the official summer comes to an end next week, wedding season is ramping up! I recently read an article that states September and October have become the two most popular months to get married. That means out with April and June, and in with the Fall weddings!

After an extremely fun weekend in Dallas, the Monday blues have lasted well into my Tuesday. We spent a few too many hours on the patio (maybe a few too many margaritas) and the only thing getting me back to normal has been a good sweat sesh at Core Power. Another thing helping me get back into my routine: Hello Fresh. The last thing I wanted to do on Sunday was go grocery shopping. Well, thanks to a little pre-planning, I ordered my first box of Hello Fresh meals. Last night I made sesame shrimp and Jasmine rice with crispy green beans. I love how these 30 minute meals look like you made something gourmet but are so easy. My favorite part: not having to ask the dreaded questions “what should we have for dinner?”. Tonight, chicken and pineapple tacos (wish me luck!).
“Great people do things before they’re ready. They do things before they know they can do it Doing what you’re afraid of, getting out of your comfort zone, taking risks like that- that is what life is. You might be really good. You might find something about yourself that’s really special and if you’re not good, who cares? You tried something. Now you know something about yourself.”- Amy Poheler
This week has been filled with lots of highs and lows. It has been a week that taught me something about myself. A week that made me realize I am stronger than I thought I was last week. Life has a funny way of throwing you curve balls, but I’ve realized embracing them is what make you a better person. I think without the lows, the highs wouldn’t feel as good. This week, the highs were incredible! I met Mark D. Sikes, Reese Witherspoon and spent my days catching up with “my people”. It was seriously one of those weeks where I will look back and think, did this really happen?
