LOVE YOU, FRIDAY

“Great people do things before they’re ready. They do things before they know they can do it Doing what you’re afraid of, getting out of your comfort zone, taking risks like that- that is what life is.  You might be really good. You might find something about yourself that’s really special and if you’re not good, who cares? You tried something. Now you know something about yourself.”- Amy Poheler

This week has been filled with lots of highs and lows. It has been a week that taught me something about myself.  A week that made me realize I am stronger than I thought I was last week. Life has a funny way of throwing you curve balls, but I’ve realized embracing them is what make you a better person. I think without the lows, the highs wouldn’t feel as good. This week, the highs were incredible! I met Mark D. Sikes, Reese Witherspoon and spent my days catching up with “my people”. It was seriously one of those weeks where I will look back and think, did this really happen?

Dallas has been showing off this week with its perfect weather.  The chill in the air in the mornings has me craving cozy sweaters and hot coffee. Since we have been home on the weekends more this year than last; we started a tradition to walk to pups to our favorite coffee shop every Saturday.  It might be the thing I look forward to most on the weekends.  What do you have planned for the first weekend of October?

A few things from the week:

ICYMI: I met Reese Witherspoon at the opening of her store, Draper James and she was a doll!

Mark D. Sikes, the interior genius, signed my copy of Beautiful while I lusted over all things MDS Stripes at Market in Highland Park Village.

J.Crew is having a MAJOR sale for the next few hours.

My new iPhone arrived and now I need this case.

Paris Fashion Week is in full swing and the Street Style is SO good.

This dress is at the top of my wishlist.

The chill in the air has me excited to make this recipe for Sunday Supper.
