Before the holidays I popped into the Rebecca Taylor store at Northpark to find some fun outfits for the holidays. The brand really speaks my love language when it comes to finding classic styles with a unique twist.
I am currently recovering from our weekend in Charleston celebrating the bachelorette, Mackenzie. We had the best time and I swear you can see my abs just from all the laughing we did this past weekend. Life can be funny in so many ways.
We had all of the makings for a perfect day: Great friends, the beach, and a sun hat.
I talked about our short visit during our trip to St. Barth’s but Mackenzie and I still talk about how fun our day on the beautiful island really was. The French woman have this effortlessness about them. They can be wearing a white tee over their bikini, a great hat and sunglasses and still look so chic. When I found out we were heading to the island during our trip, I knew I wanted to wear this Rebecca Taylor skirt. Rebecca Taylor’s refined design and girly silhouettes are why I love the brand so much. Also her prints and fabrics are so easy to wear, especially for a girl who loves solid neutrals. After picking up this skirt last year, I am constantly looking at her new collections. On a side note, This dress would be perfect for a spring wedding.
We must talk about this sun hat. Mackenzie and I joked the entire trip about this darn hat because it was constantly blowing off my head when the wind blew, but at the end of the day, it has been my best purchase this year. I have since worn in on two other trips to the beach and I know it will be the perfect accessory this summer. I also watched this video about how to pack a hat in your carry-on and it changed the game!
Sorry for the insta pics, but I decided to not bring my camera on our trip to Dallas and just enjoy. I just love that city and especially the weather! After arriving late on Friday, we headed straight to dinner at Mi Cocina for some margs and delicious Mexican food, followed by some late night shenanigans at Kung Fu. The whole gang (minus a few in the wedding party) was back together again and I have not laughed so hard in a long time. The wedding was so beautiful down to every last detail and naturally they had to kick us off the dance floor.
As of lately:
We made a quick stop at TJ Maxx, and I scored this Rebecca Taylor jacket / A few of you asked where my dress was from- it is BCBG, a few years old / Watched a little football on the plane (Go Cheifs!) / Loving my new Catbird Rings / May or may not have stopped at Wataburger on the way out of town / Enjoying shorts weather / Having too much fun with all of the girls (and I guess Patrick too!)
