I am still over the moon after last weeks announcement and overjoyed by the amount of love and support. After what felt like the longest 4.5 months of keeping this little secret and an even longer first three months, I am officially halfway through my pregnancy (20 weeks) and happy to report that I am feeling great and a little bump is starting to make an appearance.
Today I am sharing a little update of what’s been happening the last few months…
I found out I was pregnant really early (like 4 weeks) and thankfully was extremely busy with the store opening, so the first few weeks flew by. Overall, I have been feeling pretty lucky about how how well I have been feeling. Weeks 4-10, I actually felt the most like “myself”. I continued working out and following my normal routine, minus a weird craving for sizzling rice soup. We got to see our precious baby at 6 weeks and 10 weeks during the first trimester. My energy levels took a big dip between weeks 10-13, so I took it very easy during those few weeks, aka: lots of naps and Netflix. Minus a few sick days, I really felt lucky to not deal with crazy nausea like a few of my girlfriends. Week 12 was the best week so far of our entire pregnancy, we found out we were having a healthy baby boy and we finally told all of our family. :)
Week 14, I started feeling like myself again and started doing pilates, playing tennis and started eating healthy-ish. I was living off of baked potatoes and bagels during those early weeks. I really haven’t had any crazy cravings other than an obsession with fruit. Oh, and the fact I cannot drink enough water. The weeks have been flying by this summer and I cannot believe I am past the halfway mark until we get to meet our little angel.
I am happy to report, the last few months have been pretty uneventful (very thankful for that!). I am so lucky to have so many amazing friends who have send me registry lists, books to read, and the best baby clothes brands, but this first time mama would love any advice, suggestions, you name it! I feel like I am forgetting so many things in this update, so if you have any questions, leave them in the comments below and I will do a Q&A later this week!
