I am heading out to get my haircut today and I have an itch to chop, chop, chop.  Not sure if it will happen but what do you think about the long bob? I kind of dig it! But then yet again, I will probably chicken out and end up with a trim.

With wedding season in full swing (my own wedding included), keeping my skin and hair healthy are on the top of my to-do list. With weddings come travel, late nights, and maybe a few cocktails– all leaving my skin a little dry, tired and in need of some extra TLC. Thankfully, a few new product samples from the ‘I Definitely Do’ Birchbox created in partnership with Style Me Pretty, have been lifesavers in getting my skin “wedding season” ready.

Whether you are a bride, bridesmaid or attendee, this box has all the essentials for you to be wedding-ready. I am pretty low maintenance when it comes to beauty products, but for my wedding I wanted to make sure my skin had a healthy glow and my hair was glossy. The ‘I Definitely Do’ Birchbox had all of the products I needed to get my skin and hair ready for my big day.

Leading up to the big day, I started using the Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzmatic Face Rejuvenator three times a week. It brightened my skin and gave it that wedding glow. Since I was trying to take care of my skin, I tried to avoid makeup—that is, until I tried the Marcelle BB Golden Glow Cream. It has the perfect coverage and also kept my skin hydrated throughout the day. When I travel, my hair always craves moisture, so when we headed to Arizona for our wedding I made sure to use the Kerastaste Elixir Ultime to give my hair an extra glow and shine.

I have always been a blush girl. I especially love the look of rosy cheeks. Ever since trying the Laura Geller Baked Blush, I am officially hooked. It’s the perfect pink to give your face a natural glow for everyday wear.

Bridesmaids’ gifts can be tough, especially when you have 9 girls standing by your side, like I did. The ‘I Definitely Do’ Birchbox is the perfect gift to go along with a robe to get ‘wedding ready’ together. Now that I tried my first box, I am definitely hooked. Be sure to head to Birchbox to subscribe and your first box will be the ‘I Definitely Do’ Birchbox! You will not regret getting that cute pink box in the mail :)

Head on over to my Instagram to learn how you can win your very own ‘I Definitely Do’ Birchbox, along with the full size products featured in the box AND a set of gorgeous bangles!

To be honest whenever I try an up-do, I end up looking more like a hot mess. (please tell me I am not alone on this).

Last week I was invited to attend FORM Hair Education with a few of my favorite Dallas blogger girls.  This event could not have come at a better time since Holiday parties are in full swing and I needed some ideas about how to switch it up from my normal, down and curled look.

FORM Hair Education was created by the extremely talented Whitney Haynes when she found that her passion was teaching others. FORM was created as a “community of hair professionals committed to the growth of [their] craft, creativity, and continuing education.” The best part is they teach their clients to style their hair like a pro in just a short amount of time.  Each of their classes are customized and try to have you leaving the course with the knowledge to repeat the look at home.  I loved how Whitney and the other stylist made a point to come over and give me tips on how to create the look for my texture and length of hair.

FORM Hair Education has four courses; Beautiful Blow Dry (I am going to be taking this one next!), Perfect Ponytail, Glamorous Curls, and Tousled Up-Do Style- this is the class we took last week which was perfect in time for those little LBD’s or low back dresses.

Here are a few things I learned (honestly, I was really nervous I was going to be terrible at this!)

1. We started with slightly curled hair. Especially if you have fine hair like me, you want to give it a little added texture for the hair pins and bobby pins. IE: the curls do not need to be perfect or pretty, so you can do this in under 5 minutes.

2. Create a Base: The most important thing we learned is you only really need a handful of pins to create a tousled look that will stay all night.  The base is created by sectioning your hair into sections. Take the back section and roll it up in your hand and secure with two long pins, then play with the sides to soften the look. The best tip we received is to only use pins to anchor your hair down. Hair pins (the ones that are open v shapes) should be used the rest of the time to create a more tousled, undone look.

3. Have fun: Playing around with the front pieces is key to creating a look that you love, but don’t pin down until you are done playing or else you will have to start from the beginning!

I cannot wait to take another course, especially the “beautiful blow-dry” class! I along with the other Dallas bloggers at the course loved our experience so much that we have teamed up with FORM Hair Education to give away one seat in the class of your choice! FORM Hair Education is currently only available in Dallas, but be sure to check out their website for more information,

When it comes to my winter beauty routine, the first thing I think about is moisturizer. With the dry, cold weather my skin begs for something silky and soft.  Last year, I was introduced to Tata Harper and her amazing all natural skincare line.  Ever since that first introduction, I have been trying all of her products, however my absolute favorite is her Reparative Moisturizer.  Not only does it smell amazing but it keeps my face feeling refreshed all day. Since Tata uses only natural ingredients, I know the products are wonderful for my skin and I love the glow it gives my face in the morning.

I have talked about this before, but now being in my mid-twenties I have really tried to focus on taking care of my skin.  This fall I was able to stop into the Espa Spa for my first-ever facial (I do not know why I waited so long to experience the amazingness).  Like I already knew, the esthetician told me my skin was extremely dry.  Espa Spa at the Joule has their own line of amazing moisturizers and she recommended I use the Calm and Soothing line to give me that supple and silky skin I was looking for. Both products are my go-to in my morning and night routine.  I always love to hear about new and amazing products, do you have any favorite winter products you love?

BBStyling AvedaCurly Pureology PureAbundance Keratase DryBarDetox_2 Do you ever dream of having those perfectly tousled, beach waves? You know, like the kind that the surfer girls get right when they walk out of the water.  Especially in the summer, I try to keep my hair as healthy as possible.  Here are a few of my tried-and-true products that keep my hair looking and feeling healthy.

Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner I have been using these amazing purple bottles since high school when my mom’s hair dresser recommended it to her.  My hair typically falls on the dry side, and this ZeroSulfate formula not only smells amazing but it also keeps my hair silky smooth and hydrated.

Kerastase Oleo-Relax Slim is the best thing since sliced bread.  For someone with curly, frizzy hair, this smoothing cream keeps my frizz in check (especially with the Dallas humidity).  It is a little on the pricey side, but lasts forever! You need less than a pea-size to get results.

Bumble and Bumble Styling Lotion  I have been known to use a few heat styling tools in my day, so BB Styling Lotion keeps gives my hair texture while still protecting it from the heat.

Aveda Be Curly My first thought about this product was that it was going to make my hair curlier, but when my amazing hair dresser told me that Be Curly would actually relax the curls and combat frizz, I knew this product was going to be a go-to, especially when I let my hair dry naturally.

Aveda Pure Abundance is what I like to call magic.  Pure Abundance gives your hair that extra volume and gives the appearance of thicker hair.  It is seriously LIFE CHANGING.

Detox by DryBar let’s talk about this game changer.  I have never been one of those girls who goes 3-5 days without washing her hair because honestly I just thought it was kind of gross.  Until last week when I made a trip to the DryBar for a celebratory blow out.  The stylist suggested trying Detox instead of washing my hair everyday (or even twice a day if I was working out).  Well, I have tried it a few days in a row, and it has changed everything. I can go 3 days without washing my hair, and hopefully it will help keep my hair healthy and eliminate some of the breakage from all of my styling tools.

Recently I have become somewhat of a self diagnosed perfume junkie.  I am obsessed with trying new scents and finding what works for me. So naturally when my friend Michelle introduced me to Commodity Goods, I was instantly hooked and slightly addicted.  Maybe it was the super cool branding, or the fact you can try all of the scents at home. But the fact is, I want to collect all of them to display in my bathroom.

When Summer rolls around, I am always on the search for the best new beauty products.  My skin and hair tend to be on the dry side all year long, so there are a few go-to products I use season after season. After a lot of failed attempts, I have finally come to find a few products that give my face a fresh glow.

One of my favorites is Tata Harper Revitalizing Body Oil, it keeps my skin moisturized all day long without that gross greasy feeling.  In the summer, I love to let my hair air dry and add a few spritzes of Sea Mist to give it a “just got out of the ocean” look.  Another one of my favorite things I use to transition from Winter to Summer, is to change up my fragrance.  I am currently on a Chloe kick, but there are so many citrusy scents that are perfect for those hot summer days.

What are your go-to Spring/Summer beauty products? I am always on the lookout for new products to add to my rotation.

I love being introduced to new skincare lines, so when Lindsey told me about Rodan + Fields, I could not wait to try out these new products. As I get older, the more I realize how important it is to take care of your skin, especially the importance of starting early.  If you are like me, in my mid 20s, you are probably starting to see those fine lines or the unfortunate sun spots. I have to say, spending most of my childhood days outside in sunny Arizona did not help my aging skin.  But who really wants to hear about that.

So back to Rodin + Fields. Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields, who were the creators of Proactive, started their company when they wanted to bring dermatology based skincare to everyone. They use products that create real results.  Some of the videos and transformations are crazy (check them out on the websiteRodan + Fields is different than most skincare companies. Not only do the products offer great results, but you have your own independent consultant to help you with all of your skincare needs. Thanks to Lindsey, I have been using a combination of a few products she recommended that give your skin a fresh glow.  I just started but I am already seeing instant results.

One of my goals for 2014 is to start a skincare routine, but more importantly to use all natural products. The second I turned 25; I started noticing wrinkles on my forehead, around my eyes, and mouth. I know you might laugh but it seriously was the instant I looked in the mirror on my 25th birthday.  At that moment I realized how important a regular beauty routine really is for your skin’s health. Honestly, until now I have never taken wonderful care of my skin and face. I have been blessed with a pretty clear face my entire life so using soap and store brand face lotion tended to be my daily routine.  When I realized that these products were just not cutting it anymore (my face started to peel and those ugly lines started to show), my mom suggested I find a skincare line that will help nourish my dry skin.  After reading a ton of articles and reviews on different skincare lines, I found Tata Harper.

I wish I had started using these products 10 years ago, because as Tata says, “it is never to early to start focusing on your skin’s health”.  Being from Columbia, skincare was always important to Tata. When she was old enough and could not find any products that were 100% natural she decided to create her own. In order to learn more about the 100% natural skincare line, I was fortunate to speak with someone on Tata’s staff.  Clare answered all of my questions about the benefits of using an all-natural skincare regimen.  It was astonishing how much I did not know about the importance of skincare and skin health.

Being somewhat of a health freak, I really limit the amount of medicine and chemicals that go into my body (another one of my goals this year is to eat CLEAN), so why would I allow those chemicals to be soaking into my skin everyday? Most (a scary number of) drug store and department store beauty brands contain fillers. If you don’t know what filler is, it is a useless ingredient that either makes a product creamy, smell better, or contains preservatives to increase the life of the product.  GUYS, FILLERS ARE SO BAD! Tata’s philosophy is to use the least amount of fillers as possible, so only the most potent and active ingredients (between 9 and 29) are used on your skin.  They also make all of their products at their beautiful Vermont laboratory; someday I hope I can go visit this marvelous place.  Tata is completely hands on when it comes to creating, researching, and producing her products.

So here it is, for you guys to start the new year off on the right track Tata Harper is offering one LUCKY reader their Winter Moisturizing Essentials set.  These five daily essentials will keep your skin looking silky smooth and moisturized during these long winter days (especially this extreme cold that I know most of you are experiencing).

Step 1: Refreshing Cleanser: This product cleanses, exfoliates and moisturizes the skin while leaving it soft with no film layer like most normal soaps do. I am a huge fan of the smell of this cleanser which is made from the essential oils that are created at the Tata Laboratory in Vermont.

Step 2: Reparative Moisturizer *my favorite product*: use two pumps over your face and neck to keep your skin hydrated all day and night. Made with 28 natural humectants, it hydrates your skin without using any fillers.

Step 3: Replenishing Nutrient Complex: Perfect for blemishes, red spots, and those unwanted little lines (we all have them). This multivitamin is a weightless serum that protects the skin from the everyday environmental wear and tear and boots the skins renewal process at night.

Step 4: Be Fierce: Talk about hydration, this lip treatment hydrates and nourishes lips all day b using Green Tea and Acai Oils. It is perfect for those super cold, dry days.

Step 5: Revitalizing Body Oil: This anti-aging treatment delivers complete rejuvenation to the entire body making it look smoother and visibly healthier.  Don’t forget your hands! This is a great product to keep your hands looking young and wrinkle- free.

Are you ready for a new you? Or at least better skin? Follow the Rafflecopter instructions below for your chance to win this Tata Harper Winter Moisturizing Essentials Set ($95 value!).  The winner will be announced on Friday.  Good Luck!

Some of my favorite gifts are the practical ones. I love giving and receiving beauty products during the Holidays. Not only are they kind of expensive (for the good stuff) but it is something I really just dislike buying. My mom always spoils me with a stocking full of new nail polishes instead of candy.   Since they are small, beauty gifts seem to make the best stocking stuffers (don’t worry, I have an entire Stocking Stuffer Guide for next week with lots of great, wallet friendly ideas) and really who doesn’t love making someone feel pretty. I will definitely be spoiling myself with a few things on this list!

Mario Badescu Starter Kit / Tory Burch Parfum Spray / Dry Bar Hairdryer / Bliss Body Butter Lotion Set / J.Crew Neon Hair Ties / BB Hope in a Jar Cream / Deborah Lippman ‘Big Bang’ Set / Detox Dry Shampoo / Nars Blush-Bronzer / Aveda Hairbrush / NARS Lip Satin / Crystal Headband
