GIRLS WEEKEND AT THE INNS

Last weekend I hopped on a plane to Charleston for a fun girl’s weekend with Mackenzie, Carly, Jillian, and Lauren. We actually planned this trip a year ago when we were in Nantucket and I had been counting down the days until the weekend finally arrived. We had the best time thanks to our little tour guide, Jillian for the best girls weekend! She moved to Charleston a few years ago and planned our entire itinerary with all of her favorite spots around town.

STAY

We arrived on Thursday afternoon and checked into The Inns, Charleston. I really can’t say enough good things about our stay. From the pink door to amazing side porch, heavenly beds and full kitchen, the rental was perfection. We stayed at the Spring Street location (how cute is the pink door?) in the upstairs unit. We fit five girls comfortably. We loved being able to stay in the same unit together (aka, lots of girl talk!) If you have more than five, you can rent the entire house for your party. It would be a perfect spot for a bachelorette weekend or family reunion. The Inns is located right downtown which made walking to drinks and restaurants a breeze––or a just quick Uber ride away. The house is also just a few steps away from Sugar cupcakes, so you know we had to make a pit stop ;)

EAT AND DRINK

I landed Thursday afternoon and met Jillian and Lauren straight from the plane for a quick bite to eat at Miller’s All Day. It was a great spot to start off the weekend. We also went to Baba for a quick pre-dinner drink, Melfi’s, 167 Raw, Basic Kitchen, The Daily, Vintage for drinks, Trattoria Lucca, The Citrus Club at the new Dewberry Hotel (such a fun spot!), and ended the weekend at The Park Café. I honestly don’t think I had one thing I disliked and the staff at every restaurant was nicer than the next. Southern hospitality at its finest!

WHAT TO DO

Most of our days were spent walking around the darling streets, snapping pictures of the beautiful homes in between meals. I could have walked around for miles. One of the highlights from the trip was the candle making class at Candlefish. We had the best time! You get to make two candles to take home with you, so Mackenzie and I picked our No. 23 and 80 and swapped one of each scent! Be sure to put this on your list of activities! We also popped into Hampden and Small by Hampden––the cutest boutique in Charleston, if you ask me! Also, the sweet gals at Lake Pajamas invited us into see their new store designed by Olivia Brock. They did not miss a detail! I picked out this pair of the softest pjs. I seriously haven’t stopped wearing them since our trip!

WHAT TO PACK

We really lucked out with the weather all weekend. It was sunny and in the 60º’s until the last day! I decided to stick with the basics when packing, since the weather was going to be a little unpredictable. I brought this pair of white pants, my favorite white tee, two pairs of jeans (one denim and one black), my favorite tan coat, a denim jacket, this blazer, and a few extra options that I didn’t end up wearing!

Charleston is such a charming town and I wish we could have stayed a little longer! This just means we need to plan another trip really soon! Where should we go next?

Such a fun-looking girls’ weekend! Ugh, but I’m so frustrated! I had been eyeing those Castañer Joyce wedges in the neutral color for a week or two, and now they’re not even available on the website! :( I’m crossing my fingers and toes hoping they’re either restocked or maybe it was a glitch in the system that they aren’t showing up now (it didn’t seem like they were selling out quickly).
