The 4th of July is around the corner and what better time to pull out my favorite blue and white stripe skirt. Earlier this Spring, Tuckernuck launched their own collection and I have been wearing this skirt on repeat since May! It pairs perfectly with a basic white tee, a wide stripe shirt, or a crop sweater for chillier days. Add a few red accessories and you are all set for the holiday (without screaming firework!) I love the idea of mixing prints, florals and stripes so your outfit doesn’t scream flag swimsuit from Old Navy circa 2000. lol.
Here are a few festive outfit ideas for my favorite holiday
Poolside. Whether you are headed to the pool or beach, this look will be festive all summer long. Seriously how darling is this Marysia suit. Hurry, it’s selling out fast. A few other essentials are cute beach bag, sunglasses, sunscreen and a good book (I’m currently reading The Last Mrs. Parish).
Barbecue. Headed to a country club or backyard barbecue? This cotton poplin dress is nice and lightweight and doesn’t scream the 4th of July. Pair with some simple accessories for a cute summery look. A few other dress ideas: This one, this one and this one!
Beachside Fireworks. One of my besties wore a version of this outfit for beach fireworks in Nantucket and I could not get enough of this look! Also, you can’t go wrong with the classic flag sweater. Pro Tip: If you are petite, buy the girls or boys styles for a fraction of the price!
Casual Daytime. If you are not sure of your plans just set, this outfit screams summer (and maybe my uniform for the rest of the season).
