First things first: Hi! How are you?! Welcome back to ADOD. Gosh, I have missed this space so much and after almost of year of some much needed time off, I am back with new perspective and energy. So much has changed since the last time I sat down and wrote a blog post. I promise to update you on all of the details, but last year was the beginning of lots of changes, understanding, and personal growth. Back in April, I started to feel like posting about clothes and my daily life felt frivolous with everything going on in the world. There was so much unknown, so I decided to take a step back and focus on my family who needed me the most. I chose to learn, discuss and grow offline because that is where I felt grounded and safe. To be completely honest, it was the right decision at the time. The best takeaway from my time off was spending our sons first year completely unplugged. It was the first time I didn’t feel the urge to be creating content every moment of everyday, but instead just embracing the quiet in between moments.Read more
Spring is on the horizon and I have basket bags, flowy dresses, crisp white tops and sandals on the brain. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good chunky sweater, but Spring is my love language.

Did you catch yesterday’s Sunday edition post? I have been scouting so many fun new things around the web and IRL that I love sharing with all of you! Between traveling in the early part of the month (best vacay ever) and a busy work schedule before the holiday begins, on Friday my friend, Merritt and I squeezed in a little holiday get-together for tea at the French Room. Talk about the perfect spot to get you in the holiday spirit.
It has been a minute since my last Love You, post and I really miss these little catch ups. The last couple weeks have been super busy around our neck of the woods. I have been added a few extra things to my plate and I am trying to figure out how to juggle ALL OF THE THINGS. It’s been fun and exciting to challenge myself and I am looking forward to see all the good that comes along with these changes.
I am currently still laying in bed with a cup of hot coffee laughing at all of Patrick’s family snapchats from our post-feast dance party (his aunt even made a geo-tag..hehe). It was such a fun night with his Nana, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. The only thing missing was my family!
But back to the real reason you are on your computer today…today is BLACK FRIDAY! Woo hoo! I have browsed my favorite shops and rounded up a few of the best sales out there and some must-have picks for everyone in your family!
I have been on a major interiors kick lately and I am wanting to re-do our entire house. While I would actually love to do it right this second, I am waiting until we buy our first house to make some real design decisions. There would be nothing worse than investing in furniture to fit this home and then the pieces wouldn’t work in the home we purchase in the next year or so. However, there is one purchase I think that makes sense right now…
I had been on the hunt for the perfect bar cart for years now. I wanted an acrylic one to match our ghost chairs at our kitchen table. When I was ready to pull the trigger last year, the acrylic bar cart was sold out EVERYWHERE. I searched high and low for the affordable bar cart (I had a hard time spending $800+ on a decor item) but I can out empty handed. When Hayneedle.com reached out to pick out a piece from their collection, I immediately searched their extensive bar cart selection. To my surprise, I found the one I had been searching for for the last year.
There is nothing I love more than finding a new brand. Well, actually there is nothing I love more than finding a new site and everything is under $200. I came across Pixie Market a few weeks ago and have been filling my shopping cart with the entire store. Since I know I can’t get everything (one day, right?) I am going to start with this off the shoulder top, this bucket bag and this dress. Guys it’s all just so good.
xox- a dash of details
Happy 4th of July, friends! I am keeping it short and sweet today because hopefully you are celebrating with friends and family. I will be spending the day by the pool, eating too many hot dogs to count and playing with sparklers tonight! I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite festive outfits and some great holiday sales!
