A WEEKLY WINE NIGHT

Anthropologie Home

There is nothing like a girls’ night to make the week just a little brighter. We started our Thursday girl’s night on a whim and it is for sure the best part of my week. It typically involves take out and a post-gym look, but sometimes it’s fun to jazz things up a bit. I invited the gals for a little pre-spring fling to use my entertaining pieces from Anthropologie’s new collection.

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.”-Oprah

I have so many things I have to be thankful for this year. First and foremost, for my family, my health, my puppy girls, and of course, and all of you!

A PICTURE IS WORTH…

Framebridge Wedding ShopThis is my favorite picture from our wedding. Yes, I know what you’re thinking, it’s not a professional shot from the day or night, it’s a blurry black and white iPhone picture. But this photo is everything to me. It was 1:30am, pouring rain and I was on cloud 9.

APRIL THINGS

So I know this is a little late and we are already five days into April.. I cannot believe it is already April! This year has just flown by. I think most of you know by now that I work for a Major League Baseball team, so right now my day job has pretty much taken over my life, but in a good way.  Our Home Opener is less than a week away and it all starts again.  Honestly I will be thankful to not have to sit in front of a computer all day long for the next 6 months.  When I started looking for jobs after college, I knew I needed a career that did not involve sitting in a cube from 9-5. After a lot of searching, I ended up with the best of both worlds and I could not be happier.  I started blogging a little over two years ago and it is honestly something I do that makes me happy everyday. Even as busy as I am sometimes, this blog is a place where I can be honest, creative, and be myself.  I will continue to do this everyday for as long as I still enjoy it and you all are the one’s who make it worth it. So thank you for continuing to come back everyday and read and comment about my crazy life.

What are some of your favorite things about April?  I know I am super excited for some hopefully warmer weather in the near future!

Time Flies

When your having fun.

My trip to Arizona was fabulous and went by in a flash. I watched a few Little League Baseball games, enjoyed a great dinner with my besties at The House, a new restaurant in Downtown Scottsdale, a quick, last minute Halloween costume for some kid friendly trick or treating and the best part, spending time with my family (I forget how much I miss seeing them everyday).

Home for only a few short days, the hours involved antique shopping in the West Bottoms, art gallery hopping during First Fridays and some down time on the couch. I jumped back on the plane and jet- setted to Vegas for a work trip.  Let’s just say what happens in Vegas comes back with you in the form of a cold.

Anywho… I am back.

This and That- 4th of July

The Trend: 4th of July Style

For You: Try these darling Current/Elliot star print boyfriend shorts with a white v-neck tee for the 4th.

For Your Home:  Since you will never own the original Jasper John’s Flag because it’s in the permanent collection in the MoMA, a print of the famous flag in a cool frame will have to do.

This and That

The Trend: Summer Orange

For You: Essie’s Orange It’s Obvious on your tootsies with some cute sandals like these

For Your Home: I think everyone needs  this Mini Orange Tree from Four Winds Grower to add a citrus scent to any room.  And they are super cute too!

Today is the second post in the Best of Amazon series and if you haven’t guessed it yet, it’s all about beauty. I have started to narrow down by morning, night and weekend (yes, weekend) beauty routines and I’ve found how easy it is to re-order my empties along with my other usual goodies from Amazon.

Somehow I blinked and it’s already March. This year has been full of fun filled weeks and weekends. It’s flying by and while I am not wanting time to stop, this month I plan to be more intentional with my days. The last two months, I have noticed a shift in my mindset since I started focusing on being in the moment.

UNIQUE FINDS FOR THE KITCHEN

Amazon Kitchen Items

We all love Amazon. Okay, well that’s a major assumption (maybe some of you don’t), but really I don’t know one person that haven’t ordered at least one item on Amazon. A new package arrives at our home at least three times a week (read: Patrick’s late night ordering. hehe) But in all honesty, it just makes everything extremely easy and convenient. I even find myself adding unnecessary items to my cart, but hey two-day free shipping makes those impulse buys just a little more fun.
